"PARIS As investigators dig into the scandal-plagued U.N. Oil-for-Food program, one question keeps surfacing how deep does the link between French officials and Saddam Hussein go?

The CIAs Iraq Survey Group (search) released a report in September that, in part, suggested that French businessmen and politicians with close ties to French President Jacques Chirac (search) may have received bribes from Saddam. It also said that French companies may have sold weapons to Iraq on the eve of the U.S.-led war against Iraq in 2003."

www.foxnews.com...

Did France provide weapons that killed US troops? Were they bought with Oil-For-Food money? Will there be more revelations of a French-Iranian connection with France again having their UN security council VETO being bought by a terrorist state?

There is no hard evidence as of now that France has acted in a bad way. Everybody has screamed for the last 2 years that France has sold weapons to the Iraqis illegaly, yet I haven't seen any evidences of it.

No evidence of that, but watching Chirac play kissy-kissy with Arafat did make me wonder...

One of the allegations is that France and Russia wanted to delay the lifting of the oil-for-food program "because of financial gain". Yet, already in 1998, France, Russia, China and many other countries requested to partially lift the sanctions

THAT's what I was going to say. The title of this thread is
Chirac and Saddam in bed ... but considering Arafats notorious
(and well documented) homosexual pedophile preditor lifestyle,
and considering how Chirac sucked up to Arafat (excuse the
language) ... yep, i wonder about those two also!!

I have no doubt that Chirac and Saddam had VERY illegal and
immoral dealings - in $$$ and in human lives. I am looking forward
to the day all the facts about these two (and Annan as well) come
out for everyone to see. It may not happen until judgement day,
but I am definately looking forward to it! The stench from their
putrid dealings can be smelled around the world ... where there
is stench - there is filth and decay AND illegal and immoral
dealings, worthy of prision.

Come on people, this relationship goes way back.

In December 1974, then Vice President Saddam Hussein invited then French Prime Minister Jacques Chirac to Baghdad. Chirac accepted and visited Iraq in 1975. Chirac is the only Western leader to have a personal knowledge of the Iraqi president.

FlyersFan,

Where did you get all this information? I am curious.

If you mean the info on Arafat - there are numerous
threads here that have links to the info on his
homosexual pedophilia. He had his body guards
bring him boys to rape. He raped his body guards.
It's all been well documented and the links are on
the Arafat threads from just a few weeks back.

Now .. in reference to Chirac and Saddam 'being in bed'
(the title of this thread) ... here's the 'photographic proof' ...

Quite right Blogger, but at least the US realised our mistake and corrected it. France was and is still just a "whore" by taking money from Oil-for-food and selling itself.

You are sooooooo right. These two have been buds for a
long time. There are sooooooo many news clips of Chirac
in Saddams palaces throughout the years. I doubt they
were just chatting and exchanging pleasantries.

Saddam - 'Hey Jackie baby ... check out my newest video collection'

Chirac - 'Hey Saddie .. are they of rapes, mutilations, or mass murders?
I have to know which so I'll bring the right kind of wine. You can't serve
white wine while watching a mass murder ya' know.'

Saddam - 'Bring the rose'. I have Al-qaida here
to entertain us with their stories of conquering the world'.

Chirac - 'GREAT. I'll bring wine AND a cheese tray!'

It's easy isn't to name others "whores", "pedophiles" or whatever without looking into the issues. Explain to me please, why you think France is a "whore"?

If Kofi Annan ever gets out of the way, then perhaps
we will be able to PROPERLY investigate the whole
'Oil for Food' thefts ... reportedly the biggest thefts in
recorded history. IF properly investigated, then we
will know part of the truth, good or bad, about
Chirac and Saddam. But first Kofi Annan has to get
out of the way so everything can be checked into.

The data is becoming clear that France SOLD its veto vote to Saddam for money from Oil For Food. Money for "favors" fits my definition of a word I Despise.

I'm not sure if this was directed towards me or not .... I was the
one who said Arafat was a known pedophile.
So I'm not
sure what you mean by looking into the issues. Was that towards
my statement about Arafat being a pedophile?

It's well documented. Look at some past threads here, or google
up 'Arafat homosexual pedophile' .... Some OFFICIAL Russian (and
others) documents about Arafats behaviors will come up.

France is a whore ... because basically it sold it's UN Security Council
vote to Saddam in exchange for $$$$ and cheaper (and illegal) oil.

Of course ... probably everyone at the UN is whoring ...
that's the nature of the UN and that's why I think it should be
dismantled and something new and cleaned up could be put in
it's place and tried.

Absolutely. That's why a FULL and unobstructed (read ... NO KOFI
INTERFERENCE) investigation needs to be done. Our tax $$$ should
STOP flowing into the U.N. until a full accounting of $$$ and activities
is made.

US firms got approx 111 Billion barrels of oil through the oil-for-food program, Duelfer report see: www.iht.com...
Also about this favoritism, do you really think Chirac, president of France, could have been bribed by Saddam for only several million of dollars, do you really think he will risk his career and his country for a few millions?

And no, Annan won't resign as at least Russia and China will oppose it, I am not clear yet of the position of the UK but as and EU member they may side with the forementioned.
The consequence of this conflict can be very costly for the US, UN, NATO, EU and some other geopolitical forums, alliances and spheres. In the worst case this can mean that the US may get isolated.

Go ahead just call others "whores" or whatever, but realize the consequence of this conflict.

Chirac has "imunity" under French law so he doesn't have anyone to answer to anyway.

The US has been isolated for many years.............
