I blame fracking, personally.

As someone who watched the Science Channel once, I know what I am talking about and I think the government needs to step in and save us.

Yes, they do regulate our drinking water already. But when are they going to step in and start regulating and testing for naturally occurring Dihydrogen monoxide?

We need warning labels, perhaps even federal control in who can purchase DHMO.

Maybe the terrorists like ISIS, Al Quaeda, Justin Beiber are already stock-piling this.

I need someone to save me!

Please, please think of the children.

If enough people are supportive, I may get a petition started at White House dot gov.

Thank you for your support.

Ah, I thought you were talking about DMSO, my favorite chemical. Were that in our water supply, I'd say let's all go grab our favorite drug and party. Actually, ethyl ether is really amazing. Just a little bit in your whisky can keep you pleasantly buzzed for hours on end.

Great. More government in our lives.

If it's toxic, bad for you and bad for the planet, some very powerful people are behind it. And most likely it's either legal or used by govs anyway.

I, for one, blame the republicans for this.

People don't take this seriously enough. It can suffocate people, damage property, and if heated, can cause serious skin burns.

I actually have a DHMO-resistant container in my bathroom since it's so prevalent in my region. It's horrifying what they get away with when they just carelessly add this crap and then they even charge us for it!

Dihydrogen monoxide is h2o. Some kid came up with it to trick his entire school into signing a petition to ban it.

Here is some infor on Dihydrogen Oxide for those that don't know:

Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol. For more detailed information, including precautions, disposal procedures and storage requirements, refer to one of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) available for DHMO:

Should I be concerned about Dihydrogen Monoxide?
Yes, you should be concerned about DHMO! Although the U.S. Government and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) do not classify Dihydrogen Monoxide as a toxic or carcinogenic substance (as it does with better known chemicals such as hydrochloric acid and benzene), DHMO is a constituent of many known toxic substances, diseases and disease-causing agents, environmental hazards and can even be lethal to humans in quantities as small as a thimbleful.

I certainly hope you are licensed to own a container.

We do need federals regulations on the types of storage containers that this is held in!

LOL, hilarious the lack of basic chemistry knowledge. H2O, you can even get drunk on. Always exposing the low information cabal Beezer1

You better believe it. It has both American Standard and Kohler licenses. Had a professional install it, actually.

My "rant" is about the shrill bleating that so many use to call for and cry for government.

Hoax my butt! It's serious. Did you know they use it for torture at Gitmo? It's also found in acid rain and is a primary component to the radiated waste coming out of Fukushima right now.

Nothing better than some fridge cooled RO water when waking with a hangover. I do find it amazing the poor quality local councils get away with when it comes to our tap water. As long it's PH 7 they can stick whatever #e they like in it.

I got some of this solvent on my hands once and no matter how much I washed them in water I could not get it off.

It should be controlled and anyone caught with it, sent to jail.

" DHMO in our drinking water, when is the government going to do something!!! "

This is definitely 100% a reason to initialize Agenda21 style laws and ultra-regulations.

Way too many people not living in compartmentalized high crime urban cities.

The pollution factors alone justify hammering government intervention.

The U.S. can not do this alone.

We, as a Nation, are not mature enough.

A coalition is necessary to complete the authoritarian rules.

The U.N. is undergoing a massive effort to install toilets in India.

The Caste systems there obviously work well and melds into any Socialistic Ideal.

We, as a people, need to adhere to Global initiatives and morals.

Only Progressives can save Humanity now.

When this compound is mixed with alcohol, it can cause death, liver failure, can ruin families and the police can arrest you!
