Nerds need to find something better to do with their time. Maybe come out of mommy's basement and get some sun or something. There was an attack on Playstation(and others) the other day and it kept me from playing a game that I wanted to play. It's just BS. Get a life, nerds.

Reading that it's hard to tell which side you belong too.

In all fairness, nerds in general are a bit more creative in life then the 'claimed non nerd' online game player.

Which side? I'm on the side who don't hack like a perverted little idiot who has nothing good to contribute to society. Hacking is not creativity. Neither is vandalism or robbery. DDOS attacks are idiots who think that they're "hackers". The most creative, coolest people in the world are rarely nerds, BTW, IMO. This type of behavior is malicious.

There has been a directed attack on ATS this evening. Our attack mitigation kicked-in, and unfortunately, part of that means that some users will experience "funky" site page loads from time to time.

sorry

Attack Mitigation has kicked in.

Guess I am lucky to be one of the funky.

I just want to know what exactly I did to get my 1st Amendment revoked?.

I fear the war drums may be beating, and this is just the beginning of 'net neutrality'

...My theory? By nerds with misdirected nerd rage who need to get off the computer, and get themselves some sexy time.

...Even the nerdiest nerds need some semblance of lovin'. It would probably alleviate a lot of abuse the net gets with the DDoS attacks.

...(And yes, I'm being more sarcastic than serious. Still a little serious, though)

You may be right...but
I'm thinking "Twinkies" withdrawals.
What's it been?.... 2 years
Bound to have an effect.

Nope. I tested that theory. It is content based. Though you may still timeout if you take too long.

Ask the hackers/government intel folks/corporate intel folks/etc (whoever it really is)... that are doing the attacks on the entirety of the interwebs... This has nothing to do with content or the first amendment of the U.S. constitution.
