Browder's not bad to look at. I'll admit that, but I liked Joe Flanigan better. And that's only if everyone's favorite Captain is too busy misbehaving.

It sad but correct. How many male superheros are there to female? Heros got that right and they are coming back.
In reality there's what? Storm. Rogue. WW. Jean Gray(et al). Some lesser ones like Red Witch or something like that. Pretty masculine in that world. The REAL world?

C'mon. Who's better than Mom?

Have you seen him act? He's out of control in Farscape.

I'll play some if you like.

Sorry about that sudden juxtaposition, I didn't realize this thread was moving as fast as it was.

My bad.

No. Cool. Sarah is the epitome of a strong woman. It's just that it didn't work out. I have yet to think of a tougher one than those pointed here. Awesome, strong women.

Thast exactly who I had in mind as soon as I read the title. I guess my second favorite is Sarah Connor

I own the first four seasons of Farscape, so yes, I've seen him act.

He's just not quite my type is all.

Acting-wise, he's great. I'd put him on par with Fillian.

Meanwhile, I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with females who are strong in ways other than action. Pride and Prejudice was a good example. I'd have to go into my bookshelf to pull out some examples.

From the title my first choice was
Sigourney Weaver/Ellen Ripley
then my 2nd was Lindsey Brigman from The Abyss (what a underrated movie)

Both already mentioned

so im say Melinda Dillon/Jillian Guiler - Close Encounters of the Third Kind

My top choice is Ripley. When they killed her off in Alien 3 a little piece of me died as well. As if killing Newt wasn't enough..wtf?

Has anyone watched 'You're Next' with Sharni Vinson? Who? Yeah I know, but she plays Erin in the movie and steps out of the typical typecast of defenseless woman and kicks some tail. She's not an alien or robot killer but her role in the movie was a bit refreshing.

Personal faves for different reasons:
Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara
Shirley Maclaine as Ouzer in Steel Magnolias
Maggie Smith and Judy Dench in Ladies in Lavender

I also recently saw the very disturbing Black Swan, in which Natalie Portman excellently played an unraveling nutcase.

I have to go with something different... This one is from a show.

Claudia - Warehouse 13

One from a movie?

Shirley MacLaine - Guarding Tess One of THE BEST movies ever made. If you haven't seen it... Do yourself a favor!
