as much as I would like to see us all hold hands and sing Kumbayah human nature won't let it happen. Sad but true.
Nope, I don't accept your version of human nature. We have something that no other species has, the ability to discern and distinguish and even
counter instinct. This is a cop out for people that believe they are superior and for people that have compartmentalize their very own reality.
Unfortunately the reality of things is we are all different and those differences are always going to be noticed.
Are these differences great enough for us to treat each other abominable way where we can not relate to each other based off of our differences??? I
always tell my son, the fact that we are all 'different' makes us all have something in common. So in essence we are ALL different, doesn't that
make us the same!?!
Nobody alive today in the US has ever been a slave.
Actually it is permisssable and constitutionally acceptable for prisoners and a proclamation is a statement.
What does this have to do with the psychological trauma of an individual or a group of people. Traumatic experiences can be inherited and this is the
point you insolent children fail to realize. A burn victim can pass his traumatic experience to his offspring and develop a fear for fire with out
even knowing the details of the scenario. When people say "no one today is a slave" this has nothing to do with nothing. If you think you can
enslave human being for 300 - 400 and then say "your free" and expect them not to be scarred or for them to just pick up and carry on. Do you
really think this is possible?? Really, no sarcasm, no smart-ass-ness really is that even remotely possible?? Look at the food that's attributed to
black culture. Even after all this time, its the food that was prepared by slaves for the masters, we call it soul food now, it was called the
scraps. Do you understand??? I really hope you do? I am vegetarian by the way.
The world is tough for us all.
I am sick and tired of black people getting a pass because of slavery over 150 years ago.
Really, what has ever been done to heal society as a whole???? Congress must have felt the same way because they apologized for the U.S. involvement
in slavery. You honestly, honestly as an adult believe that you can do that to anything and not have to pay is beyond me. Karma is not friendly and
maybe that is why the reputation of the Westerner is slowly losing is flare. The world knows now. The corporations and commodities that were
establish and exchanged from then to today are the U.S. biggest money makers.
. Should I go around hating the French for something that they did to my ancestors?
No, but if they are still walking around like they are superior and trying to justify the actions of oppressed people and not relate or establish a
truthful connection from slavery, then they should be held accountable for their arrogance and ignorance as well. The slave mentality is inherited
just as the slave master mentality, which may be inherently worse. The world is tough for us all but, you COULD NOT reference anything remotely close
to what happend and instead of us trying to liberate and spend trillions of dollars of something we had nothing to do with ( our modern corporate
affairs in foreign land) why can't we heal something we were directly involved in. People get their panties in a bunch with one word, reparations.
The funny thing the root of that word is repair. The question should be were damages made and are those damages apparent and prevalent today?? The
answer is, Yes.
From the very, extremely rich culture and legacy that was left behind from the acme of civilization which was in Africa, you can historically trace
the "damages" and the arrogant nations that were involved are still around today. The rubble is still there. The absence of evidence is not the
evidence. European scum destroyed so much to try to convince the world, Africa is a savage-land. Their are cultures we will never know the name of
because of peoples deliberate, diabolical plans. Like the civilization between Ethiopia and Kemet(egypt) but all of the pyramids, and artifacts were
destroyed because it spoke the truth that egypt was influenced and even born of African thought. Historians like to believe Kemet just sprang up out
of nowhere and there is no evidence of progression. But there is. The absence of evidence is not the evidence..... This wasn't thousands of years
ago. My grandma, before she passed, told me vivid, cruel stories of slavery and how our people were treated. Both indigenous Americans and people of
I've lived around it my whole life and the vast majority of it that I see comes from.....wait for it......the black community. Even amongst each
other, the dark ones hate on the light ones and vice versa. Ever hear of a brown bag party
Do you think these people came up with this on there on????? Evidence shows otherwise.
All of africa is different from each other, and there are more cases of africans giving birth to white/albino children, than in europeans doing the
contrary. So Africa is used to seeing every spectrum of the human experience in Africa alone. I can't say the same for Europe. They gave birth to
this kind thinking, "your different from me because of how you look".
Now lets get to the now. What about the people of African descent that may not have had the features that are readily identified with what people may
associate as traditional African features. Those people pretended to be white to resume life and to benefit from Life, liberty and the pursuit of
happiness which would be only a dream otherwise. This division did not start in Africa nor did it start with Africans. Sorry try again.
No sir, there are ghettos everywhere. Just move to a poor state
People try to use the ghetto to refer to dilapidated cities and under-funded communities. I went to those schools in elementary and middle school.
Where I can find my brothers name in a book or two and he is 7 and a half years older than me. In 95-96 I had the privilege to move to a very nice
part of Carson, Ca. I was blown away and I still can't believe my very own experience. This place, no bungalows, it seemed like the books were
brand new every year, restrooms spotless and the teachers were like parents. The teachers from my original school were not even from my community and
they could care any less. Not to tell my whole life story, but I eventually moved back and I believed that year changed my whole way of thinking for
the rest of my life. I was back in a place where the funding seems to just miss us.
I have never met a poor person that wasn't skilled, intelligent and that preferred to be poor over anything else. You can spend all your time trying
to convince me that this is the intrinsic nature of a certain group of people but this could never be the intrinsic nature of any human being without
I am from California and if I told you where I grew up, you'd probably feel stupid. Because you are reaching and you have not a clue. Its just like
the immigration issue. People that aren't from here love to tell people where they should be.
