The likelihood is very high. That is why Japan banned the Garidisil. That is why doctors keep their patients for 15 minutes at least after administering here in the US.

The problem you need to deal with is to not be so outraged and confident that you become anti-anti vax people.

I agree with you that many vaccines are amazing and have saved countless lives and changed the world.
I think the MMR vaccine is a good thing (though If I had a kid I'd probably wait until they were older and in school because I believe in babies it could have negative effects).

Polio and smallpox are great vaccines, but you have to understand the differences between vaccines in the early days and now. I mean you literally got pricked with cowpox for small pox vaccination. You know what was up.

So while some vaccines are attacked that probably shouldn't be (like MMR)

Some like the "flu" vaccine which covers like 3 of a millions strains and I had 2 swine flu vaccinated friends die of swine flu last year, just seem to be more poison in your body. Then Gardisil, it was "safe" and they started giving it to school girls in texas.. until they actually did studies and found it had over 2,0000 side effects, side effects were common and it was banned from use in Japan.

So don't stand on either side. If you wanna be right, be right in the middle, where the truth hides from the madness.

Sorry I appreciate you are trying to offer a balanced opinion on this but when one side of a debate uses evidence and one side uses, well nothing really there is not much of a middle ground.
Garidisil I banned in Japan they just removed the recommendation to promote it. This wasn't done based on any analysis but based on fears and anecdotal evidence by concerned groups (sound familiar).
You are right that there are side effects but the more common ones are minor and the serious ones rare. The numbers say that young females are better having the jab than not. This might be wrong but until new evidence comes along surely it I best to go with what we have.

A lot I the anti vax nonsense seems to come from fear of being responsible for something happening to you children (which I understandable).
If you don't vaccinate and you kid gets ill then that was chance /gods will etc. If you do and they have a reaction or even then get ill and there is even a possible connection then parents will blame themselves.
The ugly truth is that you cant know 100% what the right choice is for each individual, you have to play the odds. Our present understanding is that the best choice for an average healthy child is to get the recommended vaccinations.

Possibly one of the best pieces ever written here on the subject...

Sharing that story might actually save many others from suffering the same grief your family went through.

I can only imagine Stephanie looking down from Heaven with a smile seeing this take place.

In heaven, children are there, all the ones who died young, in childbirth, or were aborted.

Thanks for those kind words Murgatroid... I've a feeling she well be looking down smiling. If for no other reason than the knowledge that I haven't forgotten about her after all these years.

Be well.

Words cannot express how thankful my wife and I are that you took the time to post in this thread. I have shared with her your story and our choice has been made.

1000 times thank you!

God Bless,

You're so very welcome... I had a feeling from reading your original post that Stephanie's story might resonate with you somewhat; hence it seemed appropriate to share it with you.

I note you say in your reply "...our choice has been made." If I may, to this point in particular, I feel it would be remiss of me to not qualify my position and clarify that what I shared with you was 'my own' experiences with vaccines... personally and lately, professionally. Please don't base your decision solely on what I've been through and what I've discovered subsequently. Before you decide once and for all, take some time to explore both sides of the debate; ask some questions and read everything... before long, you'll notice the BS from both sides floats to the surface pretty quickly.

Make your final decision an educated one. It's your responsibility as a parent and guardian of their well-being. They're 100% completely and utterly reliant on you to make the right decision on their behalf... so surely it's your duty as a loving, caring parent to be as informed and educated on the subject as you can possibly be, before making that decision for them.

Whether you decide to vaccinate or decide not to, the relevant issue here is not actually whether you decide to vaccinate or whether you decide not to... the issue is whether your decision is an 'educated and informed' one... because at the end of the day, that will always be the right decision... for you and your little boy.

You've got plenty of time.

Nic

(PS: One thing I will say though (and the trolls will go berserk at this!), is that if you do decide to vaccine him after all, I strongly advise you to leave it until he's at least two years old; their little systems just isn't designed to cope with being 'crashed' like that, the way vaccinations tend to do with many children's immune systems... they just too small to handle it.)

I still don't believe that the MMR Vaccine causes Autism. I think it is more likely caused by environmental pollution, mutation of some random gene, etc. My babies have all gotten it and my youngest child will also be getting her 18 month dose soon.

People freak out that we have so many cases of Autism now days but I think it has to do with better screening and more people getting testing and early intervention for their children. I live near a young man whose mother had to fight tooth and nail for years trying to get some kind of diagnosis for her son. Finally when he was around 13 they finally figured out it was high functioning autism. He has recently graduated high school.

We are lucky to able to recognize this disorder better and parents don't have to go through a plethora of nonsense to figure out what is wrong. For years they told that boys mother that nothing was wrong and he was "just spoiled". Thankfully she didn't accept this and pressed on looking for an answer.

With everything going on today and the things you hear about, who knows what the heck they are injecting into your body. I did receive all my vaccines as a child, but it's not like i'm going to get a flu shot. Fairly confident that the human body can fight off the flu virus without putting something created in a lab out of who knows what by who knows who. If this TRULY is part of the population reduction we've been hearing about for years now, I'm not gonna make it easy on em.

Just thinking along the lines of, ...because we can do something, does that mean we should?

Farmers have learned the hard way that sometimes when you wipe out one pest another one can step into the void even more "pesty" ...throwing natural defences out of balance is risky imo.

I'm still on the fence about vacs.

This has been a topic on my mind since the thought of having children was born in my mind.

I have been studying for over 5 years on this topic and assure you, my choice was mine alone and not because of your testimony.

I thank you for your valid concerns, but rest assured I have read dozens of studies on both sides and at the end of the day my knowledge, heart and mind have determine not to vaccinate with MMR (once again I have chosen to vaccinate with many other inoculations, I just wont with MMR).

Great thread all.

God Bless,

i never understand this if there was a real link tho MMR vaccinations and autism them why doesn't every child in new jersey have autism? children have to be current on all their vaccinations or they cam not attend public school. I have two school aged children and they have had all their vaccinations and neither of them have autism

Think about what your saying...

Lets say that every child in new jersey DID have autism.

Don't you think that might look just a little suspicious?

Of course it would, the outrage would be massive.

all i have heard on the subject is ; vaccines cause autism but on the other side i have heard . that the same time some of these vaccines are given is also the same time that autism traits stat to show up in children and there maybe a trace element in the vaccine that might cause a child who might be predisposed due to heredity to have autism run in their family and that there is an alternative vaccine that can be given if the parent request it.

I still don't really know what to say about this sort of thing.
I got my vaccines when I was young so I could go to school, and continued to get what I needed to continue being in school. I looked into the HPV vaccine, but after seeing the bad side effects people were having, I was done. I have Lupus and get sick enough without the help of vaccines! I don't know if it's bad for those of us with immune system issues to get vaccines, but since seeing the bad information on HPV, I haven't looked into vaccines since graduation from high school.

EDIT: This isn't saying that I wouldn't get my future children vaccinated. I would. But I'd wait a little longer, and spread the vaccines out, a bit. I worked in a daycare for a short amount of time, and it was always sad seeing the babies that were fussy because they had to get like... Four shots on the day.

Its about a scientist working at the CDC that admits to fraud when it came to "research" on the links between autism and vaccines.

Did you watch the video ... is that not him making those statements? Does he not admit to the fraud?

We keep hearing how the studies show there is no connection and now we hear from one of the scientist that did one of those studies and it was a fraud. You cannot trust the people doing these studies.

I don't know about you but when I discover someone is lying to me I don't trust them anymore.

Yes I watched it, and if you think he did then you didn't watch the same interview. It clearly cuts between statements he makes, some of the cuts are literally one word, then an edit to cut into another word, so we have no idea what the actual context between, before or after some of those statements were.

And your doctor NEVER worked for the CDC, so he is not an "insider" as you think he is:

Brian S. Hooker, PHD

William Thompson did work for the CDC, but we never see him in the interview, we only hear a heavily edited phone interview.

Here is an open letter from Thompson:

Thompson Letter

I have had many discussions with Dr. Brian Hooker over the last 10 months regarding studies the CDC has carried out regarding vaccines and neurodevelopmental outcomes including autism spectrum disorders. I share his belief that CDC decision-making and analyses should be transparent. I was not, however, aware that he was recording any of our conversations, nor was I given any choice regarding whether my name would be made public or my voice would be put on the Internet.

My colleagues and supervisors at the CDC have been entirely professional since this matter became public. In fact, I received a performance-based award after this story came out. I have experienced no pressure or retaliation and certainly was not escorted from the building, as some have stated.

And the best bit of all:

I want to be absolutely clear that I believe vaccines have saved and continue to save countless lives. I would never suggest that any parent avoid vaccinating children of any race. Vaccines prevent serious diseases, and the risks associated with their administration are vastly outweighed by their individual and societal benefits.

They are creating morlocks. They need people just smart enough to do the job and not think about the downsides. I can't stand greedy bastards. Greed doesn't look good on anyone. I used to think humanity was a great thing but now I see it for what it is. A #ing parasite.

Nice cherry picking ...

first of all he (Brian S. Hooker, PHD ) isn't my doctor and no one said he worked at the CDC ... nice misdirection though

However, Dr. William Thompson does work at the CDC and this story is about him and this is his letter that comes directly from his lawyers site ...

letter from William Thompson of the CDC

My name is William Thompson. I am a Senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where I have worked since 1998.

I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.

So the above quote from his letter is nothing? These kids aren't at increased risk? Scientific protocols were followed?

Clearly some agenda on the part of the CDC was more important than scientific transparency otherwise this wouldn't have happened. So how can we trust anything the CDC says?

And yeah he still defends vaccines, but he also admits to this fraud. Do you think transparency is important? Do you care if African Americans males are at more risk to autism from an MMR shot?

I can only conclude that you mean to mislead people about what this doctor said. Are you part of the agenda as well? Why act like he never said it happened?
