Uncertain


If I give my heart to you,
You would surely break it.
You would tear it up in two,
I know you will forsake it .

Maybe it's because I fear,
That I will lose my way.
Afraid I will disappear,
and slowly fade away.

But I cannot just let go,
Of all my inhibitions.
Give to you my heart and soul,
Because you say your different.

Prove to me what you feel,
Actions mean more than words.
Show me that your love is real,
Let me see what can't be heard.

Maybe then I'll open up,
Let my feelings freely flow.
Show you what it means to love,
Give you my heart and soul.

But for now I'll wait and see,
What you're all about,
Move forward very cautiously,
Until I have no doubt.
