I believe that the increase in cancer can be attributed to people living longer and the increase of the worlds population.

Our youngest daughter was nominated by her boss,
because he knows she hates those kind of challenges!
She hates wasting any water, especially for a video,
since there are so many people in the world
who have no access to any clean water!

So she did her video without water,
standing in the shower in a raincoat,
with 'dropinthebucket.org', printed on the front of her bucket!
She basically said, we collectively waste too much water,
so instead of all the hoopla & waste,
just donate to ALS & then check out this other great organization!
She got the message across without wasting a drop of water,
& had lots of positive feed back on it!

And now I've seen a few 'challenged' people,
who actually fill the scoop of a front end loader
to dump on themselves & waste even more water!

Here's a news clip of 4 firemen who were hurt attempting to do the challenge.
Two of them were almost electrocuted!

news.msn.com...

Yep, it's getting out of hand!
I thought when I saw the front end loaders,
I wonder how many pounds of water it takes falling on your head,
to snap & break your neck???
I sure hope nobody finds out!!!

Thanks for bringing attention to this subject!

Arent the people that are doing this instead of donating.? I was told that if you didnt do the challenge that you were suppose donate,if that's true then these people are showing that they dont want to donate.

And. There are people in this world at this very moment are literally dying of thirst and people are just dumping buckets and buckets of water on the ground

From what I understand is you do both, donate and do the video.
I will agree that if you just do the challenge and don't donate the your a tool.

Really? If true, then that just makes this all the more pathetic. Nothing more than a celebrity back pat. Mike Holmes, I'm disappointed in you...

Excuse me while I go dump my head in the toilet for ALS. Sorry, no video.

If you did tomorrow we will start seeing "Dump your head in a toilet bowl challenge".

Thank you for creating another silly trend

Nope

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head or donating to ALS research.

Most people are doing both but there is no obligation to donate. So now, it's just become a stupid internet sensation taking away from the actual cause. In 5 years you'll forget about what it was for but you'll still remember the challenge.

I thought the purpose was if you didn't you gave money? I thought the people doing it didn't give money? So make a point of not doing and give money.

Redneck Firemen Injured During Ice Bucket Challenge

An ALS Ice Bucket Challenge went terribly wrong in Campbellsville, Kentucky, when four firefighters were seriously injured after participating in a group event, according to Campbellsville Police Chief Tim Hazlette.

Electricity from a power line shocked the firefighters after they had sprayed water on students.

Crews from the Fire and Rescue Department were helping the Campbellsville University band with their video "Challenge" around 11 a.m. Thursday.

A photo obtained by CNN and taken by witness Tyler Arterburn shows the firetruck's aerial ladder hovering over the challenge participants as firefighters inside the ladder's bucket spray them with water.

LOL now that's a Darwin award and a half!

"Excuse me sir, your metal ladder is up against the power lines"
