A lot of people are completely missing the point here with all the racial stuff. Excessive police violence is becoming universal. Minority communities, due to less access/influence in the mainstream and a longer experience with excessive police violence are giving the most organized and forceful responses.

So divide and conquer, good white people, let us beat you senseless, don't go crazy over it like those (insert racism here).

The goal is clearly intimidation of all dissenters, but race can be used to get good ol' 'Murican cops who would never oppress politics to go ahead and do the wrong thing on a different, even worse pretext. It's not the only pretext, but certainly the most disgusting, and it has the added benefit of driving a wedge between the different oppressed dissenting groups.

And it's in their interest to keep us apart, because frankly minorities have had to deal with police abuse for a lot longer, and cultures and subcultures do evolve to meet challenges. The last thing they need is angry white unemployed college graduates in guy fawkes masks learning overnight the tactics that took decades to evolve by bitter experience in the inner cities, and making common cause with less ideological and more pragmatic victim groups that can help them become a real force.

There's always a riot when two dangerous groups get too close to working together. The Hells Angels and SDS before the clash at the Oakland Berkley Line as detailed by Hunter S Thompson, the alleged gang truce before the LA riot (which i admit i know considerably less about), and now the rising tide of socially networked anti-police campaigns before Ferguson.

Somebody always gets provoked or framed into alienation right before they get the real organization and traction they would need to check the police. Did you ever wonder why some things cause riots at the drop of the hat and some huge outrages pass almost completely unnoticed? A really good riot takes logistics. I remember one police chase that involved a pickup truck full of molotov cocktails and political banners, which ended with a shotgun suicide on a freeway bridge. I felt like I'd gotten a glimpse at those logistics when I saw that and always wondered exactly what made those cocktails go off while the truck was stationary. It kinda felt like somebody who wasn't just working for himself attracted attention and got burned (literally and figuratively).

Or does anyone think that a large volume of Molotov Cocktails can get thrown just by people drinking 40s one at a time then refilling them with gas and ripping up their clothes and carrying them around looking for a good target and just luckily finding eachother as they do it? I tend to think that those get trucked in along with bricks in advance of a planned riot- which is what separates a real outburst of anarchy from a mere NBA threepeat celebration gone wrong.

to have the real results, names should be put in quotes. and dillon's results are kinda lowered.

"mike brown" - 9,350,000
"dillon taylor" - 242,000

i bet those aren't the most accurate results, because their names may be spelled differently on some sites. even more, quite a bit of those results are not related to these cases. still, it's far from the difference you claim.

"mike brown" ferguson - 8,180,000 - see how that goes? you would have to check which search results are invalid (about someone else), then filter them out with -searchterm - because even in this case, when some website mentions some mike brown, then mentions ferguson in unrelated article, it will show up in those search results.

so such comparisons are kinda pointless.

Thanks for showing how that's done. Maybe the larger spread that I read about had Ferguson/Mike Brown vs. Dillon Taylor? Anyway without the statistical figures, I think it's still a fact that there has been no national cable news network coverage of the Utah shooting vs. Ferguson. They were only 2 days apart and very similar, although there were 3 cops on scene in Utah vs. 1 in Missouri. That's an accurate statement I think. I can't even tell you the name of the guy in North St. Louis with the knife. That was just a flash and it's gone. It's all Ferguson...

How does that connection work with the USB? The computer is connected to the television and you watch what's on the pc on the tv? Or you record something on the flash drive on the pc and then later watch it on the tv? I'm not tech savvy... It does sound good to avoid the "programmed" propaganda on MSM.

Not long before 9/11 I got tired of paying steadily increasing cable bills. So I quit on them and went back to old fashioned regular free tv (channels 2-13). It was good as I watched hardly any tv. It felt like all the negativity in the brainwashing news was eliminated. After the towers fell there was no signal and I had to have something to follow such tragic news as that so I got sneaky... well, when something gets blown out of proportion, one question surely gets to mind.
why?

people are getting killed all the time. so it's obviously not the killing that got the attention of the media - as was already pointed out i think - but the riots. and when they're so willing to report said riots, it begs the question what really caused them - or who is really behind them.

when they're focusing on the right hand, you're more likely to miss what the left hand is doing at the same time.

Tonight I finally saw a major national cable network mention the shooting of unarmed white citizen Dillon Taylor, 20 years old, by a black police officer. Fox News Judge Jeanine was interviewing Missouri State Senator Chappelle-Nadal about the Mike Brown shooting. She asked Nadal about the lack of coverage pertaining to Dillon Taylor. Nadal acknowledged that fact and that there's no coverage about all the black on black crime either. Maybe the Judge read my thread? So it is known to them what they exclusively focus on. Thank you Judge for at least mentioning Dillon!

I agree with you. It shouldn't, but it does to the media. Why is that? The media does it all the time. Almost exclusively when the the victim is black. Not any other way. I'm glad there are some posters, not you, others that are lashing out at me in anger. It shows the double standard even more. They call me racist for pointing it out. Yet they hear it all the time when a black has been victimized. No problem with that.

The shooter came to the basketball court ARMED on the day the victim was known to schedule his time on the neighborhood basketball court (shows premeditation). The shooter began harassing some kid who was skateboarding on the court and the victim stood up for the kid and was shot in front of his 8 year old daughter for telling the grumpy armed guy to leave the kid alone. I don't think "stand your ground" applies here. Granted, I'm not a lawyer.

As a rule protest turned riots are never generally about a single incident for that you would have to look at the underlying tensions between law enforcement and the community,they complained about police abuses for a longest but in a town where 70% of the residents are AAs nearly all the public officials are white, of the cops 50 out of 53 of them are whites 3 blacks,now that's not to say the community could never have been served well by those folks in power regardless of the unbalance nature of that community's power structure but when you have a cop that a few yrs back participated in a handcuffed beat down of a man originally picked up in a case of mistaken identity kept a week in jail,find for bleeding on the officers uniform during said beat down and was told by a Judge that his counter suit do not warrant damages because his injuries were minor despite severe concussion as told reported by a medical examiner made it on the city counsel where there are no Blacks and one Hispanic you know something is rotten in the State of Denmark.

Being that there are posters talking about white racism going way back to the sixties, I thought it would be fair to show some horrible black racism against whites from the early 1970's that was not national news although it should have been. It involved the San Francisco branch of the Nation of Islam. They went on a serial killing spree targeting "white devils". That was contained to local news only. I recommend that everyone on both sides of this issue read this book. It might educate you on racism being a 2 way street.

While I have never heard of these murders before now are you certain it wasn't big news back then,it has all the requirement of sensationalism for great T.V like the Weather men and other lefty terror organizations.

I read the book and it was limited to very local news! So yes I'm certain of it. Read the book online at that link. It's free and will open your eyes to what the Nation of Islam was/is about. Notice that Nation of Islam are in Ferguson? Now imagine the coverage if the roles were reversed! It would have been international news. Luckily that book is accessible in archives.org. It would probably be hard to find in a public library. My eyes are wide open to all racism. Let's not pretend it's limited to white on black.
