Have you ever wonder why the word SANTA has the same laters as SATAN?

SANTA is wear RED cloths and white, yet society has associated SATAN with RED color.

The fact SANTA is celebrated during the same time the SUN god is celebrated, yet SATAN use to be called LUCIFER (god of light)!

Weird Coincidence!?

I DON'T BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUSE
By The Vandals

I don't believe in Santa Clause-
his corporate image forced upon
the blinded spending masses,
to enslave the lower classes

with obligatory gifts that serve to cleanse
a year of guilt and shame.
One token gesture justifies
the apathetic, hypnotized.

Leaving them to be Kris Kringle's slaves.
Buy! Buy! I won't do it.
The seasons obligation has not my participation.
Buy! Buy! I won't do it.
The money hungry mating call of corporate swine.

Cuz-
It's only for the money!
It's only for the money!
It's only for the money!
It's only for the money!
Now Buy!

He monitors naughty and nice-
Big brother is St. Nick!
Methodically his judgment made
documented on his list.

I- Don't believe in Santa Clause
or his mystical facade
to teach the children wanton greed,
they're lust for gifts becomes a need.

Brainwashed by the marketing
and victims of the corporate scheme.
Material possessions becoming they're obsessions
till human life has lost it's value
and you blindly do just what they tell you
I don't believe!!!!

His tactics of intimidation repress the minds of youth
using fear for generations, His image hides the truth
He's just a puppet for the system, a glutton in a suit
with Yuletide propaganda and a bearded mask to boot!

There is no santa claus? There was and there still is, within the hearts of children who believe in him, which makes him very alive. How do you define existance? By feeling an object or looking at something that appears to be real to yourself? That is the shadow of jelousy a path to greed and selfishness... It is oppinions like these that diminish the essense of faith and belief to thank those for there cause.

It is only for money? That is up to you and your family to decide upon. But to stop the faith for the cause of Saint Nicolas would only sever yourselves for self rightiousness and greed than to thank those for what they have done. Darkness has many forms and it only controls you if you let it. Again, Darkness will win if you stopped believing because you have stopped thanking.

To believe the Saint Nicolas you'vev been tought may very well be the St Nicolas that has been irradicated from his true intentions than. Therefore you must set your belief straight for his cause than.

Not true. Lucifer as satan is a mistranslation of the King James Version of the Bible.

Lucifer is the Morning Star. Jesus said he was also the Morning Star.

I had to read for awhile before I got to the first comment saying it is disgusting to lie to your children about Santa. Amen. I was never told Santa was real and when I went to first grade was shocked by children who had been duped. I think we should abolish this holiday all together. It is nothing but commercialism and greed. My boyfriend's ten year old gave us his wish list which was a lap-top, a racecar and I think an ipod. But despite wanting $1,000 in gifts for himself he (or at least his mother) didn't want to spend any money of his own to buy presents for others. That makes me sick. What kind of people are our kids growing up to be when the biggest holiday of the year promotes greed, selfishness and self-indulgence. This is not spiritual it is tragic. The world would be a better place if we all celebrated our own beliefs in privacy instead of making them a coporate affair.

I can't believe that I have read most of this thread before I realized it was from two years ago.

By the way, Merry Christmas!!

To all the "Ban Christmas!" people....
Christmas, like everything else, is what you choose it to be.
If you choose it to be the day you distribute high priced electronics equipment, then so be it. But the issue isn't Boolean... All or None.

If you choose to keep the gifts to a minimum, you can. If you choose to emphasize the social, family side, you can.

It's a matter of taking control of your own life and resisting the Peer Pressure.

I don't see where Santa has much to do with religion; if anything, he represents the wholly secular aspect of Christmas, but for what it's worth I can't remember believing in him. I'd have to check with my parents to be sure but I believe I had figured out on my own that things weren't adding up, around age two.

I definately did believe in the Easter Bunny.

lol, any proof on that? what colour was the easter bunny? easter is the time when jesus resurrects etc so what has it got do with a bunny? bunny's do not reproduce with eggs either?

However, the Platypus does reproduce with eggs. I believe that in ancient times past, the Easter Bunny was mistakenly identified by a conspiracy buff, who left his aluminum head gear at home. What he saw, in fact, was the Easter Platypus.

Merry Christmas to all!

Saint Nicholas was an actual man who was a giver to families in need during his time. He did this giving as not only guided by the Bible to be a giver, but also to represent the gift of eternal life Christ has given to those who believe. If you'd like to receive the free gift of eternal life, feel free to U2U me for details. Santa Clause (St. Nicholas) died and is still remembered for this generous act and reminds us to give gifts representing not only generousity but the significance of Christ's presence in the world. Everything else regarding St. Nick is secular bunk...but what else would you expect from the secular world? Stack 'em with the lies of the ishtar bunny, leprechauns and tooth fairy.

St. Nicholas is merely the cover for who Santa Claus really is.
St. Valentine is merely a cover for the origin of the celebration of the original Valentines Day.
St. Boniface is merely the cover for the true origin of the Christmas tree.

My mother sorta tried to get me to think he was real when I was 4 or 5. But that didnt last long when I stared asking questions she couldnt answer. So to me christmas became just a day where family comes to hang together like thanksgiving. We celebrate Family on this day really not the birth of jesus.

Merry christmas ATS
Gala

Sorry i had to say this but leave the tooth fairy out of if! he's had nearly all my teeth - the thing i've never worked out is why do i have to pay him and why do i have to sit in a chair while he scares me half to death with what looks like a pair of pliers.
