You're probably right -- I tracked down the "order form" for DOD aircraft, and they're all helicopters and small engine fixed wing planes. There is an option for "other", as well as "if we get something else in, do you want it?" but it's probably not that big plane.

i am not sure i would be entirely comfortable knowing that LE was stocking up on such weapons....especially in the smaller towns..given the current state of affairs....now i wonder if anything like this is going on here in Australia

I asked Garth Holt about that during the show on Wednesday, and he said that grenade launchers are used by LEOs to shoot tear gas canisters.

My town has almost nothing, that's quite a surprise honestly considering we're double the national average (or more) in virtually every crime statistic.
