From the video:

Driver : "i don't have time to play games with you guys...."

Yet that's EXACTLY what he's doing.

I guarantee that kid has more than enough time on his hands to drive around making "statements".

Oh, the irony.

Meanwhile, the guys with real jobs have to put up with these gamer kids who keep backing up the line.

*facepalm*

yeah,
The government doesn`t take kindly to people questioning their authority.
I wonder if they take the license plate number of people who won`t cooperate and put them on a government black list.
maybe give their taxes extra scrutiny, deny their government backed loan applications, etc, etc. The government is very vindictive.

I'm not talking about the government, I'm talking about the average everyday guy who just spent all day at work trying to come home from his commute so he can maybe spend some quality time with his kids stuck behind these people making a "declaration" and holding up traffic.

"Are you an American Citizen?"
"Yes Sir."

What is so freakin' hard about that?

I'm telling ya - when they landed that ship in Antarctica all those years ago and let these kids off the boat, they sure forgot the instruct them on the local customs before setting them free with their trust funds and cameras for their field trip.

Every time I see these little busybodies holding up checkpoint I'm just CONVINCED they're here on an Interplanetary Visa and don't want to admit it because they're used to having everything handed to them hand over fist on demand via a silver platter.

Nothing to see here....just another Government Pawn....move along....drive safe....happy posting.

That checkpoint shouldn't be there in the first place.
That would save you a lot more time using your logic.

Exactly! People are so conditioned they dont even realize they should not have to do this crap.

Because human trafficking doesn't exist, right?
Because drug trafficking doesn't exist, right?
Because arms trafficking doesn't exist, right?

Because people don't drink or drive under dangerous intoxicants, correct?

Because everyone who steps foot in this Country has Her best interests at heart, correct?

Because no one would ever do anything illegal in this Great Nation, am I reading this clearly?

Therefore, there should be no checkpoints.....yeah.....wow....ok....gotcha.

Whatever water supply you're drinking from, I would really appreciate a bottle.

There is better methods of stopping above problems than setting up a checkpoint.

Nobody forces you to take those drugs. at the end of the day thats gonna be your choice.
Dont we already have cops taking care of drunk drivers, trafficking and all that?
Even with checkpoints all the above you said still goes on.

If there are better alternatives, I'd love to hear them.
I'm sure everyone stuck in traffic would too.

Heck, we might have a new and more efficient regime change if it's viable.
You never know.

a simple one is banning alcohol.
There goes your drunk driver problem, probably wont happen though to much money being made there.
I dont have all the answers but im sure theres better alternatives if its given some thought.

We need to take matters into our own hands, a lot of people love to be taken care of and dont like doing anything for themselves, dependent for everything.

I agree that too many people are complacent....no argument there.

Self accountability seems to be on the decline as well.

You make some good points. We'll get there one of these days, hopefully.

I'm not a fan of alcohol for a number of reasons, but they tried abolishing it once before during prohibition, and it just brought a new criminal underclass to power....so that might not be a viable alternative.

I'm going to bow out now, but you'd be amazed at how a simple and friendly "yes sir" and quick response to interrogation will move the lines along and make those pesky checkpoints all the easier to deal with.

Peace.

The point he's making is that even though they try every trick in the book to make you believe you must obey, actually, you dont have too!

I have absolutely zero problem with what they are doing at the check points. They should stop EVERY vehicle and check id's to ensure you are a US citizen....

The problem is that the checkpoints need to be moved 30-50 miles south to THE BORDER and do it there!!!!!!

Crazy stupid procedures.

All that manpower wasted on road blocks when they walk across the border by the thousands unchecked.

I am curious to know how many Illegals they have caught at the checkpoints. Not that illegals aren't driving around but they know about the checkpoints and avoid them so I am sure the captures there are almost zero.

Sounds like you have your own kinda water already and I don't want any of what your drinking....

Yeah bad stuff happens and there are bad people out there but ya know what. Find a way to catch them WITHOUT trampling on my freedoms.

How exactly does answering, "Are you an American citizen?" fix that list of issues you presented.

Essentially, you are saying folks should give up their rights, without probable cause, or warrants, so you and others can get home quicker. Lol

The only checkpoints should be AT THE BORDER. They are BORDER PATROL after all.
