Paramilitary Militia have NO place on a street in the United States. OTHER nations do it this way. We have had much worse than this event...and never felt the need to go to paramilitary law enforcement like this. Not like this is here.

I am ashamed of my state, and my nation as I watch this....and after watching the media outright intimidated and threatened for half the night leading up to it. This is over the top.

CNN has a head line that they will not be heavy handling the curfew...

Everybody should give the cops a little bit of credit ATM (anything later on is up for debate) They waited forty minutes before enforcing the curfew. They gave a pretty huge window for everyone to work with. I can actually applaud that, I doubt other cities would have been that lenient.

yeah.. The reporters were just reminding everyone of the promise to not use Tear Gas again....as they are preparing to fire volleys of gas.

Ferguson residents have again done the smart thing. It seems as if the few folks on the streets are activists, outsiders and press. I'm watching the vice link.

Earlier today I saw an interview with the former police chief in Seattle who was in charge during the WTO protests - he said he *regretted* the use of force against peaceful protesters.
