By 2025, ‘sexbots will be commonplace’

After my experiences and observations of human males in all forms of intimate relationships, from aquaintances and co workers to friends to casual one nighters to longer and more serious commitments, having a sexbot partner sounds pretty damned nice to me. Not just for the sexual aspect, either. A programmed machine would probably be a more interesting companion in a lot of ways. So I certainly would not object to the possibility.

If one wants to take me out on a date and treat me right, I'm up for it.

I can't see having a sex with a robot though.

I would hire a robot housecleaner possibly. I already employ a caregiver, so if I can save money on that, it might be worth it to me. Rent-a-Bot. I think it would scare my cats though! Robot lawn boy too. Robo-cook. I need a chauffeur. I can't drive.

On the other hand there are people who will get attached to a robot. Not be able to maintain human relationships.

I'm more interested in robotic body parts myself. I need another arm that actually works. Not sure how one would shower, would have to be taken off. Meaning amputation I'm not really into.

We don't need robocops though. They would come first. I think it might be dusastrous.
Also think it will not be in 9 years. No way. Or I could be wrong.

Ha, fair enough.

I've got a feeling these robots will take over the world, regardless of the naysayers. That is of course if anyone can afford them after losing their jobs to the more mundane versions.

In 2030 the definition of human and robot or android will be so blurred as to make this whole thread look very quant, like 1950s pronouncements such as "In the year 2000 there will be robotic operators who put calls through on switchboards."

I know! However, just like all new innovations, only the rich will be able to afford them.....Until....it takes off....THEN the prices will drop and the average Joe and Jane will be able to have them......

edit to add: but now for the nutty stuff that I happen to know, and will say no matter how many are asleep on these matters. Soul mate families. They're not bots, but they are here, real people. So, we're ok, older generation ready to go home after helping family out. Next generation. Well, without your soul family there really is alot of mishaps going on. Your family and friends tend to like to learn and grow together. So I guess the whole race will quit coming, let them only have bots here on earth. Well....we'll see hey, if Higher Ups think thats a good plan, after all this is their school.

Example, my middle son looks like Adam Ant, he actually has a bit a peter o'toole look with very fair eyes, and was a platinum blond with beautiful curls, everyone thought he was a girl. Strangers in the mall wanted to hold him and disbelieved his mother when I told them he was not a girl. Well now he dyes his hair black, and dresses like he's in a band. And very stubborn about it, and people not telling him what to do. A bit of mixture between indigo and challenging rules, and crystal, angel child, because he's pure of heart and the window opened (this is the nutty part that I am determined to share) and I recognized him, and was very upset he was here in this dangerous place. He called an archangel his father...and one thing I can say about all the mixed up and crazy folk here on earth, including many of our ex's, is this isn't who we are on the other side. Not in our infinite real selves. This is kind of blast from the past, walking some lower lessons.

The people around you, your own children, your ex's even, are very special on the other side to you. They're soul family and akin to light beings/angels, wonderful and loved.

So, bots won't cut it, its not what we're here for.

I think I would quite like an Adam Robot, now that I've contemplated a bit.....IF he were life like.

He was perfection! But the one's they showed in that video were off putting to say the least. It would have to be realistic LOL!
OK....I have decided on the model I want....right here....*fans self*...that's all I have to say about THAT!

I do find it concerning the people who wring their hands and gloat over the prospect of getting rid of a gender over this type of thing. Even the ones who think it will keep the misogynists or misandrists at home. Did pornography stop street based sexual harassment? No. So why would this? And why do you think it's awesome that people who have had negative experiences will be at home with their robots?

That said, I actually think this will be a step up from where we are now. People are at times too quick to forget the handicapped, mentally ill, and just plain old genetically unendowed members of our society who go by daily without any form of human touch altogether. It's easy to stigmatise these persons by saying 'lol I would never do that' but to get it into perspective, even Stephen Hawking has to visit a brothel. There is no ladder to success when your body simply doesn't function. I spent a lot of years making fun of these persons in my youth and I was being cruel.

At least robots are human shaped, will likely feel human, and may even be a good tool to rehabilitate people through their anxieties as opposed to locking them in a corner with a few creepy porn videos and making fun of them over it.

A woman who's programmed to shut up. To do what I want without question. I can cheat and never have to answer for it? No children to give all of my money to in court (despite the mother who will spend the child support on something stupid anyway....like herself), no one to ask me stupid questions like "do these jeans make me look fat?" (knowing all along, that its your fat that makes you look fat). No talking my head off about uninteresting things, and the SAME things day after day after day...and then accusing men of talking more than women. For GODS SAKE...bring the freaking woman robot already! No more women winning in court 100% of the time, no more feminism (at lest it will no longer matter)...as women say,..."we no longer need men, we can have babies by science" ...GOOD FOR YOU! WE MEN DONT WANT BABIES ANYWAY...ITS NOTHING BUT A TRAP! That said (my discussion is on topic, I have saved this to a file). BRING THE SEX ROBOTS ON! Noone wants these spoiled brat women of America today anyway. Yes, I know...im a monster...but I used to be a gentleman in everyway...take a guess as to why I changed....you got it...feminism.

What people don't realize is, family and soul family is everything. Its the future and infinity. All of it, your ex's included, anything you think was hard, going through things with people and any pain, its nothing. Its an honor to be here, an honor to love them, and honor to reach even a little heave up in light or insight, to uplift someone just a little, set their path straight, just a little, and if its hard, then intercede, meditate, heart chakra, hold them in your heart and talk heart to heart from to time long distance and remind them, they're the light and need to remember who they are truly, and that you love and believe in them, they're absolutely beautiful to you, and they can do this.

Bots might be good for housework but they don't replace people, not even in the future, not even in sci fi fantasy realms or eutopia's.
