Not sure if I`m repeating a previous thread or if this is the right place but....
When are the next american presidential elections?
Who are the runners and likely winners?
Do you think your civil liberties will continue to eroded under a different administration or will the military/industrial complex continue its
rule?
Oh and I know I can look up the first two questions on google but I`d like some opinions.

Bush and his shadowy overseers will skew the election results again, ensuring that their puppet stays in power. It doesnt matter who runs, unless we
overthrow the government and create a more free one.

ahh, a revoltionary. You won`t get what you want by overthrowing the government, its the machinery of government, the establishment, you must
overthrow.

That is how I plan to do it. Change the government style so it has less power over the people. And I do not want another Articles of Confederation,
just more freedoms, and less bush. I want a true democracy, we are not the same country we were two hundred years ago, and many more educated people.
We are capable of making our own decisions now, and we do not need representatives and senators telling us what to think.

To answer your question, the next presidential elections will be November of 2004.
Bush will run for Republicans, of course, Democrats, nothing for certain. Only hope is for a third party spoiler. Even more hopeful is a third party
that might actually win.
Civil liberties will continue to erode regardless of who gets elected, unless u clear out congress compeltely and put in the right people. Not just
congress, but within the states. There lies the real legislative powers: congress.
Who will win? thats something even psychics hardly can claim. Bush is losing support, he failed to provide the concrete evidence for invading Iraq. If
the economy continues to go to hell, hell follow his daddy.

Yes -those (assuming Bush isn't impeached) are the details of the first two points which -as you acknowledge -are available on any page devoted to
American Primary School education.
Civil Liberties -you must know -are never eroded: merely redefined and then enlarged.

Assuming he isnt impeached... Or shot. There is the whole thing about every president elected in a year ending in a zero dies in office, and that
qualifies Bush.

Bush will win one way or another if you know what I mean.
As an afterthought. What if the same type of fiasco that happened in 2000 happens again this coming election?

In reality, who would you have had run the white house this term? Gore or Bush? If it was my choice, neither, but out of the two, it has to be Bush!
Democrats love to ufck with the CIA, and at such a critical time for America, could you have imaginedwhat would have happened after 9/11?!?! i'm
going to have to vote for Bush again, cause i'm sure as hell not voting for Dick Gephardt.

True Democracy can't work in a society as massive as ours.. if you must have government, it must be representative... We simply need more educated
voters and an overhaul of the 'party system' which makes money a non-issue for potential candidates.
And honest, compassionate, and less self-interested politicians...
Laws need debated, worked over, fixed and debugged.
A few hundred people can do this much easier than a few hundred million.
The fewer people 'in charge' the better things run. That's why dictatorships work so well. Of course, working towards good ends is something else
entirely, but that's because only the wrong people end up as dictators.

Well, it's not death while in office, it's death or attempted assasination. Reagan's still alive.

Reagan is alive by an inch ( the distance from is heart the bullet was) and it is possible to have a true democracy in a society as massive as ours.
We have much better technology than ten years ago even and are capable of electronic ballot.

Say each person proposes a bill to be voted on once a YEAR, that's hundreds millions of things to vote on every year - no one has that much time. It
would be like EverQuest - the people with 10 hours a day to spend in front of their computer would rule the country.
The very first thing a True Democracry of our size would have to do is vote on a group of people to 'run' everything and keep everything in order,
to go through proposed bills, keep everyone informed of what's passed, what hasn't, determine/enforce the rules of who can propose a bill, how many
votes needed to pass a bill (because not everyone will vote), etc., etc., etc.,
In essence, we would elect representatives just so our True Democracy would move at all.
