That's exactly what's not wrong, in my opinion. It's always something or someone else, never the individuals fault.

Lack of personal responsibility is why. People know full well whether or not what they're doing is wrong.

I remember when I was younger and less dumb.
The internet was becoming the thing.
For 4 month I saw clips from a independent film crew who went lost in the woods.
Finally the movie "Blair Witch Project" came out.
After seeing the movie ( and sea sick from the camera ).
I was horrified.
But quickly learned it was a selling point for the movie...
Then really felt dumb as heck..

Yes it is real, and yes there are serious crimes being committed.

It all started with flyers and the internet, but now, people are actually committing crimes...

fair call..but there is also the fact when you hear or tell a lie enough it will become real....much the same way people are most likely telling themselves this behavior is ok and then in time believe it...guess it could be more of a sickness

Without knowing the crime rate data for the area it's hard to know how much is "The Purge" related and how much is just another day in Louisville.

What's the dealy now relevant to this "Purge" thing? What next? There is only one purge that should be going on now...all the crazies in this world...maybe they all need a good laxative "purge" as it seems just about everyone has "sh*t" for brains anymore!

It is being said it is "planned"...by who, I wonder? Between weird psycho type ops anymore, weird arse Hollyweird, hoaxes and REAL creepy and nutso events occurring....it is getting hard to discern the reality of anything anymore. I wish Hollywood would stop putting out such weird a*s junk anymore. No wonder people are going nuts and getting naked and "eating face' and all of that. Zombie crap in movies and even on Govt. websites relevant to "Zombie Appocalypse " drills and the like. No wonder people are going bat shyte crazy and getting violent.
