So Reid and Obama claim our border is secure. They said it. They lied...lied to all Americans, all citizens. Lied to your face. Happy now...YOUR elected leaders are untrustworthy liars that don't care about you. As an American...this makes me sick, but doesn't shock me.

We don't have the money to secure our borders.

Making the illegals citizens should be a bigger priority than securing borders.

It would have been funny if some militia down there would have shot him when he did this thinking he actually was Bin Laden. There is no way to secure the border the only way we could come close to securing the border is to line it with military bases. We could do this by shutting down all our useless bases overseas and moving them back home.

The border is impenetrable if you are an American trying to get out. I was in the back country for three full days with great maps and great equipment, and managed to evade the U.S. border patrol for three days, and finally got busted. I had huge cameras at that time and got off as being a reporter, but was not allowed to proceed southward to the border.

Here is what I witnessed
There were five layers of border patrol that I saw, and possibly more that I did not. Drones flew the skies constantly. Helicopters flew the sky constantly. At night, you could see the rows of border patrol agents approach their positions with their headlights on. There were five separate rows, which from the top of a mountain I could see were spaced about a mile apart, extending five miles or more into the back country north of the U.S. border.

The border is totally impenetrable for people heading south. BUT at the actual border crossing, they were allowing Mexicans to stream across the border by the hundreds with back packs or whatever else, where buses picked them up and drove them away.

So Dear Gordon Duff, please get your story straight. The border patrol is there to keep Americans in, and the fence is huge and difficult and practically everywhere along the border. We have ISIS promising to fly their flag over the White House and god knows how many other factions that want us dead. Then we have some leaders lying to us and telling us everything is secure. They also want amnesty for all illegals already here. And all of that is for votes to promote their agenda, maintain control, etc. Obama is currently considering doing another Executive Order to force this...surprise, surprise...right before we vote that could change the right/left balance.

Then we have the other side telling us the border isn't secure, that illegals are here illegally and that we should send them back. If they want US citizenship...they should go through the standard process that we have in place. Oh...and they want to secure the border.

That should paint a very clear picture! As much as our political system should be re-booted...we currently have to choose the lesser of two evils. This is one such example. Remember...sometimes you have to make a choice from a pool of crappy choices. Choose the one that is less crappy.

Respectively...that is a lie. The border can be secured...it just takes money, effort and time. With all the cash we waste (billions), at least this effort would produce results. But the statement "There is no way to secure the border" is a bold-face lie.

Don't need to make them citizens to tax them.

Illegals should be taxed twice as much. One time for working and such. The other time to repay back what is consumed in the efforts to stop illegals.

They can pay for themselves and the other illegals.

The border with Mexico is 1,989 miles long. The border with Canada is 5,525 miles long and we have somewhere around 95,000 miles of coastline.

To put that in some sort of context, the DMZ between North and South Korea, one of the most heavily guarded borders on the planet, is only about 160 miles long. There are mines, walls, fences, computerized surveillance systems and plenty of guard shacks filled with heavily armed, extremely vigilant soldiers and yet... people sneak across every year and there have been at least 4 tunnels discovered over the years.

Come back to reality.

Another stupid, politically-motivated stunt by that loser O'keefe. Guess the pimp game isn't paying what it used to. We all know the border isn't secure and there is no way to completely secure it. (Except Buster's idea)

I know many, many illegal immigrants and very few of them have walked in to this country. They simply hopped in a car or bus and went through the border checkpoints. If they can't fool the guards with their fake id's/green cards, which are very well done, they just slide the underpaid border agent a little cash.

You did know that our fellow Americans securing the border are susceptible to bribery, right?

So I find this completely pointless. Focus on DC to get our economy back in order, open the damned border and let's move on with our fricken' lives.

Politicians & presidents always lie, you should be careful what you believe in.

You want a secure border, put the U.S in a dome. That's basically the only way, unless you set up electric fences along the border.

Well, not Osama. Everyone knows what he looked like, but what I am saying is that a fence will do nothing, because it has been my experience that many of them cross the border this way:



It's much smarter and easier to pay for someone to make you the proper credentials, or bribe the border guard, and simply drive across the border than it is to drag yourself and your family over a flimsy fence. Sure, there are those that cannot afford it and go the old fashioned route, but it has been my experience that most people go the smarter route.

So all of this fence nonsense is just a waste of time and more money we don't have.

A dome isn't a bad idea, but probably cost prohibitive. Electric fences can be part of it too. But the biggest, easiest and most sure way to do this is simple. Any illegal caught in the country is to be sent back immediately and any possessions they managed to acquire, including cash, cars, etc. are confiscated and sold off. They leave by the cheapest means possible and without anything but the clothes on their backs. Any illegals caught at the border are turned away at gun point and as unpleasantly as possible. No food, no water, no way-stations, etc. Make it obnoxious to come here illegally, make sure no one "profits" from it and return them with a boot in the ass. Convince everyone that coming here illegally will gain them nothing. Then drop leaflets and put up an ad campaign that tells the truth...you come here...you will regret it and all the time, money and effort you wasted.

Then...it will stop. How do I know? That is basically how I protect my family. I let everyone know that I have guns (without being obnoxious about it), I have dogs and signs that state why they shouldn't enter my home uninvited. I'm 6'2" and 250+ lbs and while I have lots of friends...I'm a pretty mean looking mf. I keep no cash in the house. So far...it has worked just fine.

And if someone were to break into my home, the result of my actions would assure no one else would ever even consider it again. THAT is what America needs to do. And THAT would secure our borders.
