Slayer - Crionics (I swear I wake everyday with this song in my head)
Danzig - Devil's Plaything
Down - Stone the Crow

and, for a vid, Lamb of God - Laid to Rest
Mostly it's this guy's cover that has stuck with me...I sing/scream driving all the time and now whenever I do, I can't help but think of this guy:

It used to be Slayer's Dead Skin Mask.

But now it changes from day to day.

Pantera's Drag the water comes to me often though.

1. The song Blackwater Park by Opeth :
(cd version)
(live version)

I remember the first time I heard this song in my headphones , as it comes back in around the 5:10 mark with the channel switching. It gave me the same feeling that hearing the opening riff of Black Sabbath did when i was really young..

2. The song Deliverance by Opeth

The outtro and Martin Lopez on drums.

3. The song I am the Black Wizards by Emperor

(Live , Wacken Aug 2, 2014...starts at 39:30)
(live, Wacken 2006...starts at 58:05) I find this to be the better live version of the two.

If you are a black metal fan then you know how important Emperor are and how important the album In the Nightside Eclipse was in the history of metal.

4. The song On The Shores by Ihsahn (lead singer of Emperor)

(live , Wacken 2013, first song of concert)

Backing band on this clip is Leperous and I get where they are coming from being that into it when you are playing with a legend in a scene.

5. The song How The Gods Kill by Danzig

( r rated video version)

No one has influenced my taste in music and aesthetics as much as Glenn Danzig. For me I rank his bands Samhain (going to see them in October this year) , Danzig and The Misfits. This video is the classic lineup of Danzig: Danzig, Eerie Von, John Christ and Chuck Biscuits along with lots of HR Geiger work.

6. The song Her Black Wings by Danzig

(video quality isnt great)

Classic lineup again..Off the second album Danzig II: Lucifuge and I personally believe that this album and Danzig III: How the Gods Kill are the best he has ever done...

7. The song Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer

I remember rushing home from wherever to see Headbangers Ball in time just to watch this video...A great ominous riff, Lombardo on drums, pyramids, fire, dudes on horses... it still holds up..

8. The song Empire by Queensryche

If you ignore the dumb BS that has turned them into 2 weaker cover bands of who they were right now..Queensryche put out some amazing things at their peak and this song always works for me.

9. The song Seventh Son of a Seventh Son by Iron Maiden

(live from June of this year)

All the guys in Maiden are each over 55 years old and after having sold over 90 million records they could go through the motions but they dont. Bruce Dickinson is basically a modern era Freddie Mercury to me in his ability to entertain on stage.

10. The song Untouchable, PT 2 by Anathema

( live)

Just a great song from one of the big 3 of 90s British doom (Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and Anathema).
So many of their songs are filled with hope now which is such an interesting change from how they were..
