I don't like poutine, but fries and gravy from the french fry truck is wonderful especially on chilly days, once in a while.

I like dairy queen, love chocolate sundaes. Thankfully summer is over soon, and the 6 dollar deal my son treats me with when we go shopping will be over soon. Its been years since we even went there.

Love chicken pies also once in a while when shopping.

Sometimes crave potato chips.

And A % W burgers and a strawberry milkshake.

And croissants with swirls of icing and chocolate.

Trouble with having to drive in long distance to shop, and it taking 4 hours or more on average to do running around, because you have to eat something, use facilities. Especially since I only eat breakfast if Im up half the night, and tend to eat around noon. And shop in the afternoon.

LOL, I have had the coronary once... It was good. I did feel my blood clotting shortly after though. The meat is red with spices mixed in that makes it lighter in colour. They make their patties, which is better than half the processed burgers in TO anyway. lol

I must say, the best in the GTA for consistent good burgers these days, is Five Guys... They are great for a chain!

Pape and Danforth.

They don't have Whistle Dogs any more.

Frozen generic patties. No thanks.

Have you been to Schnitzel Queen or Mimis or Simeone's or Nova Scotia Donair?

Their all 5 minutes from your place.

2 of the 3, but I would not consider them really greasy spoon diners. I have been in the GTA for 30 years, of which 10 were within the service industry... i know pretty much every place to eat in the Toronto area. LOL, are you trying to prove something here? You must be hipster! lol jk.

For your delectation I would like to present two delicacies from the city of Madrid.

First we have "Torreznos". Torreznos are a freshly made type of pork scratching, crispy skin and salty as hell, you need a beer with these lil' fellas. (available all over Madrid)

If you prefer something a little more high class
then the "bocadillo de calamares" is an authentic pleasure. Basically a battered fried squid ring sarny for the uninitiated. Again avalable everywhere but the very best are to be found in the Plaza Mayor in the city centre.

The potential for a heart attack inducing cholesterol spike is quite real. Makes it worth it, live on the edge I say!

Around Pennsylvania Dutch country we've got three major regional producers of snacks and chips: Utz, Martins, and Snyder's. For plain, thin, salty potato chips you can't beat Utz. Martin's BBQ potato chips are some of if not the best in existence, and Snyder's hard pretzels are quite good. With Hershey just up the road, one of the world's most famous candy bars is also a local favorite.

A bit further south and east you'll find Boardwalk Fries to be a greasy treat, and fried soft shelled crabs are amazing.

You forgot Herr's...
They mmake Old Bay chips now.
And their jalapeno cheddar cheese curls are dangerously good...

As a recent transplant to the area I can honestly say scrapple is horrible. I'm not a ghoul and try to steer clear of organs that cleaned the nasty out of the animal. Poutine rocks.

I love a good samosa. Spicy deep fried goodness.

Nothing to prove.

I've been in the "GTA" almost twice as long and have NEVER worked in the "service Industry".

Probably the best Full English breakfast you could ever have is at Café Tabac in liverpool,England, my home town. It is on Bold Street in the city centre. Now this is something that is truly greasy spoon taken to a fine art. I am sure they have similar in other café Tabacs...but not like this one.

If you are ever in Liverpool, fight or crawl over broken glass to get here for one
