The original Jaw's movie many years ago, for some reason the header in this thread has stuck with me for all my life.
I am now 54 years old and I have yet to wash that famous scene and more so the verbal directions to "Charlie" out of my memory banks.

I was sweeping up maple keys off the back patio just half an hour ago and I started thinking "Sweep Charlie Sweep!"
Funny how this stuff from many years ago comes back at you.

www.youtube.com...

I just thought I would ask you all if anything has stuck with you as long as this horrific scene has stuck with me? For some reason I cannot let it go and I am not sure I want to.

Pure genius in my opinion only.
I do remember my sphincter going into cold water tightening mode and it took weeks of "Raisin bran" to undo the evil that was implanted in my noggin:-)

Anyhow please add to this thread if you have a sticky memory to share.

Regards, Iwinder

Indeed a Classic for all to enjoy, now how do I tie that into sweeping up maple keys? :-)

Thanks for adding to this hopefully way back in time thread.

The last movie we went to in the theaters was the original "Beverly Hills Cop" so with that said I tried a google on your quote above and got nowhere.

Could you provide a link to that part of the movie?
I would much appreciate it.
Thanks for your post.

This movie really. Just about everything in it is quotable, but this one works:

Jaws is also one of my all-time favorites, and it has a lot of good lines in it, too.

The interesting thing is Roy Scheider's line about needing a bigger boat was ad-libbed, he was just supposed to walk backwards in shock and not say anything.

I will have to go with another scene from the original "Jaws".

"You're gonna need a bigger boat." his expression is priceless.

www.youtube.com...

None of the other Jaws were worth seeing in my opinion.

One of my favorite quotes simply because it is so close to the truth:

Looking back, its not scary now, in fact its pretty bad.

Having said that, I will never forget that zombie at the end that came for the guy, scared me to death.

I believe I was four.

I suppose that all of us have probably wanted to quote this at one time or another here on ATS:

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong. That is your oath.

Liam Neeson in "kingdom of Heaven", this always was a belief of mine before I saw the movie.
It is funny that some need to say this out loud to keep it in their hearts.
