Hello all.

With all of us discussing the consequences of the Bush re-election in the US, we sometimes forget about other nations, and how they perceive a Bush re-election. One country in the middle east, is at least partly glad of a Bush re-election: Lebanon.

This is because Bush has said that he would comply with UN resolution 1559, which calls for the Syrian withdrawal from Lebanon, where Syrian troops have been stationed for 28 years since the 1975 civil war. Bush has said that he would put pressure on Syria to comply.
