Wasted Time (poem)

Time


Precious moments, not one to waste,
Time is always fluid it seems.
Slow at first, then picks up pace,
Stands still only in my dreams.

How much have we just let slip by,
Not saying what we want.
It seems no matter how much we try,
Life seems to tease and taunt.

So what if I had said the things,
That I felt so deeply inside.
And took the moment that life brings,
Instead of letting it pass by.

Would you have felt the same as me,
Would our paths have merged together?
Or are we destined for other things,
Letting time past by forever.

This is Great! Deep and Moving! Good Job!!

I remember saying things to her.

Part of me wanted to keep it a secret. And part of me wanted her to know how I felt.


I didn't waste the opportunity. (But I didn't win).

And to this day I'm glad I said at least something. I still think of her fondly.
