They really arent my deal. I saw their album cover and bought it without ever listening to it. I'm more of a fan of the devil's music.

Well this is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

The guy with the Les Paul looks like he's really getting into it at the end.

Bruce Cockburn has been a favorite of mine for years...

The first two are live at the Montreal Jazz festival (I think...).

Wondering Where The Lions Are (Live)

Lovers in a Dangerous Time (Live)

Lily Of The Midnight Sky

Quote from a heart-to-heart Mike Rimmer had with Bruce Cockburn:

"In the past Cockburn has gone on record admitting that he doesn't feel he's able to be an evangelist but hopes that an audience would see that Christianity is an alternative. He expands, "T-Bone Burnett and I were talking about this at one point, when we were working on one of the two albums that we did together. In the context of the US, it almost seems as if Christians. REAL Christians.should just stop calling ourselves Christians, because the term is so corrupted.

'Oh yeah, he's a born-again Christian,' and it would be used by people who had no idea what that meant. Who didn't even want to have an idea what it meant. But secular journalists for example.I would get described as 'a Born- Again Christian' with capital letters, as if that meant membership in some sort of social/political club. So how do you avoid that? I think I know why Bono for instance, has generally been reluctant to discuss his faith in the press or media situations, because of exactly that sort of thing."

Any other T Bone Burnett fans out there?

"The Murder Weapon"

FYI: Burnett said in an interview that "The Murder Weapon" was the human tongue (gossip).

Lyrics:

It can kill from any distance but you never see it strike
There isn't any warning, no blinding flash of light
It hits you when your back's turned or when your eyes are closed
There isn't any shelter and it cannot be controlled

It can be as subtle as a whisper in the dark
Or as brutal and as cutting as the teeth of a shark

There is no good description for the way it makes you feel
It's as lethal as a stiletto and more easily concealed
It sometimes is strategic and sometimes not at all
But you get caught in the fallout, win, lose or draw

There is no escape except to go completely mad
If it doesn't kill you right at first it makes you wish it had

credit where credit is due.

some christian bands are very talented.

however, im just not into gimmicks.

for example, my first death metal tape was "cannibal corpse". guess what every song was about? yep, killing and eating the dead. i quickly got over them.

christian rock is just a gimmick. trying to mainstream what isnt mainstream. jesus didnt conform to the people, the people conformed to him. so why is christianity trying to conform to mainstream in the form of rock or "life metal" (death metal sounding christian rock, but since its christian its "life" metal)

Dottie Rambo's music is some of the most incredibly anointed music I have ever heard.

I believe the reason for this is that the lyrics for many of her songs were literally brought to her from Heaven by angels.

She had a room in her home that she called the 'Angel room'.

Some who visited her home would tell her that they saw Angels with trays that had musical notes on them.

The Perfect Rose

In the below video Dottie tells about some of her experiences with Angels.

One of the most incredible Angel stories I have ever heard (@3:40 min.) happened when she was on a stage in TN. getting ready to sing and she tells the Lord this:

"God I'm too tired to sing, sometimes I wonder Lord if people care and I just wonder God if you even care. Lord I don't want to sing, I want to go home and go to bed and do you even care Lord?"

All of a sudden what appears to be a small child walks up to her and climbs up in her lap and tells her:

"OH, Jesus said for me to come tell you that HE loves you, that He's aware of you, that He knows you're weary."
