The Israeli military said it has captured a Hamas manual on urban warfare — called “Introduction to the City War” — that extols the benefits of civilian deaths and openly admits that Israel tries to avoid them.

The Israel Defense Forces also said the manual — whose cover shows images of militants wielding rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons — crows about the propaganda value of the deaths of innocents.

“The destruction of civilian homes: This increases the hatred of the citizens toward the attackers and increases their gathering around [to support] the city defenders,” the manual said, according to the IDF.

The manual, which came from the Shuja’iya Brigade of Hamas’ military wing, also explained how heavily populated urban areas — called “pockets of resistance” — make operations for the IDF difficult because Israeli soldiers try not to harm civilians.

New York Post

So the IDF convently found this manual """“Urban Warfare”"" which they got from Shuja’iya Brigade of Hamas’ military wing... or so they claim...
See it here on the IDF website and part of it clearly says...

In a portion entitled “Limiting the Use of Weapons,” the manual explains that:

The soldiers and commanders (of the IDF) must limit their use of weapons and tactics that lead to the harm and unnecessary loss of people and [destruction of] civilian facilities. It is difficult for them to get the most use out of their firearms, especially of supporting fire [e.g. artillery].

Clearly Hamas knows the IDF will limit its use of weapons in order to avoid harming civilians, including refraining from using larger firepower to support for infantry.

The manual goes on to explain that the “presence of civilians are pockets of resistance” that cause three major problems for advancing troops:

(1) Problems with opening fire
(2) Problems in controlling the civilian population during operations and afterward
(3) Assurance of supplying medical care to civilians who need it

Lastly, the manual discusses the benefits for Hamas when civilian homes are destroyed:

The destruction of civilian homes: This increases the hatred of the citizens towards the attackers [the IDF] and increases their gathering [support] around the city defenders (resistance forces[i.e. Hamas]).

It is clear that Hamas actually desires the destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure, knowing it will increase hatred for the IDF and support their fighters.

Now this manual was found three days ago, so I'm kind of curious as to why every mainstream media source hasn't just jumped on this story????

if true it's proof that Hamas is using UN schools and children as human shields... you would think even MSNBC would be all over a story like that??? Or at least the BBC...

So what give's??? is it because no one believes the IDF just found this book? Do they think Masad might have planted it? Or maybe they worry that it might just be real, in which case the media would have to be nicer to Israel and condemn Hamas instead???

I guess this is one dumb jarhead, because I can't figure out why most news sources would just walk away from this one. Real or not, planted or not, it seems to me either way this one is indeed news worthy...

BS
I can see Nitwityahoo printing this off his PC desperately hoping that someone will believe it. This is a Zionist tactic. war through deception and lies and all that. I need to see proof that Hamas write this but I don't see any proof. Only Israeli claims.

ANSWER:
The mainstream media (including MSNBC) already know all of this; in truth, this information doesn't fit neatly with their progressively liberal, anti-Israel agenda.

To be fare Hamas` does have a long history of using kids as human shields.

Uploaded on Sep 17, 2009

In this IAF aerial footage taken during the Cast Lead Operation in January 2009, a Hamas terrorist fires a rocket from the roof of a house, he then calls to a group of children accompanied by an adult to come to the entrance of the house to escort him out. This is yet another example of how Hamas deliberately exploits civilians to provide cover for their terrorist activities.

Everyone knows it's going on, just no one likes to talk about it...

in this one The spokesperson for Hamas in Gaza, Sami Abu Zuhri, spoke on Al Aqsa TV about the use of civilians as a human shield. He refers to the night of June 8 when the IDF avoided civilian casualties by aborting an air strike.

I like what StormCloudsGathering did in a video claiming this manifest is fake.

I'm leaning more toward Israel lying to further it's agenda.

I have to admit if I was in charge of Hamas` and this was indeed our practice and policy...
I wouldn't write it down in some book for anyone to find... Esp not now when the world press seems to be on their side...

So why F-up a good thing at this stage of the game???

and yet there is no real proof it's a fake... just guesses from people like me who saw a copy posted on the web...

You are the one claiming that anyone who doesn't agree with Israel is "blaming Jews"...

Sorry to burst your bubble but nobody cares about Jews. Israel and Zionism is the threat.

That was pretty big of Hamas to write a manual that is based on how nice and restrained Israel. Hamas took some effort to paint Israel in such a noble light.

I see where you are coming from.

I feel the same way about this as I do Obama's birth certificate that was done as a PDF, supposedly a copy but yet has layers as if it was made on a computer.

How is it that I feel? I feel there is great deception by the one presenting the document. Why do I feel this way in both cases? Because in both cases its been stated they are copied from the original paper but show clear signs of layering. So only the person posting the document could have edited it, not the supposed document owners. Although I believe more so that Obama's administration had a clear hand in deception, otherwise it would have simply been a copy, not a layered pdf. No reason to create something if it already exists.

Cause they can hedge their bet, just like above that people will blame Mossad .....

Seems to me they cant lose, from a PR standpoint

Sounds like Israeli propaganda to me. Israel are clearly not avoiding civilian casualties as the manual claims. The Flechette rounds already convinced me of that. Hamas seems to be run by Israel itself, a scape-goat to justify finally ridding itself of the last of the Palestinians on the strip. Israel's playing both sides. That's how it looks, anyway.

I think you just answered your own question.
It defies logic. Therefore another answer must be true.

Hmmm.....Sort of sounds a little like the manual on "How to fly a 757" and list of the terrorists conveniently left behind by the hijackers on 911.

You could not have got that information. Your Ignoring everything Israel is waving in front of you. And that irritates Israel to no end

I'm calling damage control... There are a few of these things being found as of late and it's interesting it coincides with the worlds condemnation of Israel...
