We have no clue as to how many guards were on site. The number of "employees" was given by the reporter and he did not say they were all guards.

No matter what, there is absolutely no reason to think this is a FEMA camp or that something secretive is going on. But there is plenty of evidence that points to many other non-nefarious possibilities as to why there were so many people at the site and why it would need to be guarded.

That is the proper response to that comment Arnie!

Well done and thank you for your service in the military, it is always refreshing to here a soldiers view, when it is along the lines of upholding the constitution!

I believe that TPTB had definite plans for things to have gone differently than they have. In my opinion I believe we are collectively moving to a different awareness of our spirit. We are co-creators here and are finally beginning to see the tide turn.

So I do not buy in to the whole doom/fear porn agenda.

I do think that a part of TPTB's agenda did include FEMA camps, as well as a host of the other theories that are out there, simply looking at their other methods of control, from militarized police to toxic food/medicine, to the obvious for profit prison system. I guess to me closing down state ran facilities to be made into a location to hold dissidents in time of unrest would make sense, especially given the brand new prisons being built all over.

I had read that part and I understand that cancelling the contract would be more expensive. That does not change the possibility that those who had plans for the Prison, knew that it was going to be closed and that contract had been established to further the new use.

As the Senator noted the dormitories have been renovated. So they have space for something and as smurfy has pointed out apparently double bunks still available. I have noticed other people citing some of the other purposes that it could be used for and perhaps that is all there is too it.

To me though, I still feel there may be something more to it than meets the eye, the one thing I find hard to believe is that they do not have some kind of contingency plan in place to deal with the inevitable civil disobedience from one of any of the potential triggers.

I completely respect your opinion, you raise good points on one side of the issue and skepticism is healthy on both sides, that being of the governments as well as conspiracies.

The FEMA camp conspiracy in and of itself has been debunked, I have seen that people have checked out some of the supposed spots and that they found nothing. I understand that the coffins are simply lining for cemetery plots. I may as well mention that I am quite skeptical of debunking in general. 9/11 has been debunked, the ludicrous official story is somehow still official!

Our leaders appear to be doing everything in their power to systematically destroy this country.

Theoretically we may see some kind of civil unrest, resulting in widespread anti-government protests, based on the brutality we saw during occupy, the next mass unrest may not go so well.

Do you really think that they do not have places established for mass detention? That they would not want everyone to know about?

What exactly do you think FEMA has been up to do? I mean looking over Katrina as a good example of them in action.

Also the way they handled Hurricane Sandy, the way the people described their tent city was like a prison

archive.app.com...

I understand that in times of great tragedy it is hard to imagine dealing with these issues and we need to have adequate support. So I could see the benevolent side of FEMA however they do not appear to be doing a good job when put on the spot.

It is when you combine FEMA and the militarized police force that my conspiracy mind goes hmm, the whole we care about the people thing does not work so well for me. You can not have 1 or .01 percent of the people hoarding the wealth in a very rigged system while the rest are left to suffer with continual abuses. It just makes sense to me that they would use FEMA as a way to allocate resources towards our own imprisonment.

Do I think they will succeed, no, I am forever an optimist and I believe that on a spiritual level we are moving beyond the plans the elite had. This does not mean they are going to make it easy, but something has to give and no one really knows how it will turn out, but for me I can not say I believe they have some pretty oppressive plans lined up for us, that going off the changes I have seen in my lifetime.

It does seem obsessive, but considering that prisons are usually quite large, cover a lot of area and there would be potentially millions of dollars worth of film equipment at the site......it doesn't seem too far fetched.

It seems far fetched to consider 76 people (paid by tax dollars) to be watching over movie-makers equipment. Generally, the movie makers would have their own security, as this is not a job for state paid employees.

They were allowed to film the cottage. Not the prison. That's the point.

They were also blocked from returning to film from the cottage and told to leave the mountain instead.

Source for that is Channel 13 itself:

“We’re doing a story on Grant’s Cottage,” Mulholland tried to explain.

“It doesn’t matter,” the officer continued. After a few more exchanges he then said ,“You’re going to leave the mountain now.”

“You’re telling us we can’t visit a historic site?” Mulholland asked.

“No, you’re going to have to run that through Albany,” the officer replied, saying the news crew was on state ground.

“Look, I’m not going to go around with you on this. You’re going to leave the property,” the officer insisted.

So our crew proceeded to make its way closer to Grant's Cottage.

However, another corrections employee parked his car across the road, denying and blocking the crew’s access to the historic site.

The news crew said that they would return to film at the cottage, itself, as it was a historic site and pertinent to their story. However, they were point blank told that they could not even return to film the cottage and were physically blocked from returning to it. It's in the footage, itself, so this wasn't just being blocked for filming the former, now closed prison...it also turned into being blocked from filming Grant's cottage as well.

In the Op's source it said this:

The Saturday after this outrageous abuse occurred a private security firm took over patrol of the vacant building. Officials claim this is just part of the process and not related to the incident, according to the Saratogian.

Problem solved.

I'm curious about 'the movie crew' filming inside the empty prison...who were they, what studio do they come from, what movie are they supposedly shooting, would be top of my question list.

The film is not a mystery, it's called, "No beast so fierce" circa 2015 and Stars: Bailey Chase, Kathryn Erbe, Dylan Baker. It has a different working title. I think they are 'Up North' because there are tax breaks, incentives, so on the face of it, I can't see that as a reason to try to hunt the NBC crew away from the area.
It does beg the question though, why hunt the TV crew while having no problem booking in, (so to speak) moviemakers.
There is one other tiny bit of info although seemingly unrelated. Mt McGregor apparently had a $3M 'chip burner' installed that was never used. I don't know the significance, if any of that.

It has nothing to do with ANY filming. You can see set video and still photos from Superman v Batman and Avengers 2 right now in just a few clicks, you think a low budget, no name stars, straight to video project, has more security than 2 of the most anticipated films of the decade? . Something IS going on hence the "you're here for other reasons" comment by the guard. This tells me that there is something newsworthy going on that they want to cover up.

Then you bring in private security because they are not bound by the same laws as police, like bounty hunters.

Why do you think a private company guards area 51 (Wackenhut) instead of the military?

I understand; however, it was only after this outrageous abuse occurring that a private firm took over patrol. It just makes me wonder why.

That timing appears to be coincidence.

The day after the incident, this article was posted Friday July 25, 2014

By the end of Saturday, Mt. McGregor Correctional Facility in Wilton will have closed its doors for good, along with several other upstate prisons, as the state's inmate population continues to shrink.

The closing, in the works for more than a year, will come after several last-minute efforts by local lawmakers to keep the prison open as a source of stable and relatively well-paying jobs.

Inmates were moved to other prisons in April. The shutdown of the medium-security facility will follow a mandated year-long notice period designed to give employees and their unions time to make plans.

Of course it has nothing to do with filming, or pictures. Empire State Developements are looking after the sale, and they are actually a government quango..whatever. Their PDF file photographs every separate building in the place at close quarters, no matter how minor for the decommissioning process.

Copy and paste the link.
You may come to the conclusion that the preferred sale would be a government transfer, not a commercial one, although that is not specifically stated.

Start sending drones over the prison grounds and drive the feds bat # crazy. I'd also like to know just what the big secret is there and why a" closed " prison has to have so much security.
You know it may well be that they've got prisoners in there that nobody is supposed to know about.

Why would they pay millions for reconstruction on a prison that is getting shut down?
Read a little further. This might have something to do with it

Thomas Mailey, a spokesman for the Department of Corrections, said the construction contract was awarded in June 2012, more than a year before the department announced the prison closure plan in July 2013.

It was determined that canceling the contract would have cost as much as continuing it, because custom windows had been made, building materials already purchased, and insurance and bonding arranged, Mailey said.

Why would they need a prison facility to film a movie about -

I'm a New York State Parolee and have observed, along with most NYS inmates, how in the past few years inmates have been being let out of prison easier than ever and prisons being shut down all over the state. Any non-violent offender with 3 years or less on his sentence can opt to go to a bootcamp program and be out in 6 months. Almost all inmates I spent time with have been transferred from other prisons with no explanation. NY has been very public about shutting down prisons due to an "overcrowded population and to save taxpayers money."

What they don't mention is what they are doing with all the prisoners. My parole counselor in prison admitted to all the inmates in my dorm that he was getting phone calls from Albany telling him to tell inmates that they have to sign up for the "Re-entry Program" when they get released because the state gets more money for everybody who signs and enters the program. He told us the truth and refused to trick us into signing and said they keep harassing him about it. Random inmates kept getting called to other counselors offices and coming back saying they signed a paper. I wont get into detail on what it is but it was initially called the "Day Incarceration Program" before launching and they cannot legally force inmates to do it even though most of them don't know it. Parole has forced me into this program. There is a box next to where I signed for it that gives the option to deny the program, but my current Parole Officer advised me that I cannot check that box unless I wanted to refuse a direct order and go back to prison.

The point of saying all this is that taxpayers aren't saving a dime. The re-entry program serves daily meals, pays for numerous drug testing, facilities, counselors, parole housing, etc... its all the same expenses as prison if not more. To see the state go through all this trouble to empty prisons had us joking about how they are going to use them for concentration camps. I know a couple inmates who worked on outside crews fixing up neighboring prisons that had been shut down. It didn't make sense to believe they were going to reopen them anytime soon. Even the correctional officers joked about it. We simply couldn't understand or find any other explanation.

just my 2 cents... i literally sit in a parole facility, oops, i mean "community resource center" 7 days a week from 10am-2pm doing nothing then sign out soon as the clock hits 2. Since im in my first 30 days orientation period, I have a full time job but they won't let me work during those hours. luckily i work for my brother. Some people lose their mind and flip on a counselor and get sent to a detention center because they want to go work and cant. Ok now im ranting... 2 cents paid.

Looks like it's time to send in the bumble bee camera drone and check it out.

I really want an insect sized drone for checking out things like this.

Imagine flying in behind personal and riding the elevator to the bottom of 51 or Denver airport. You know, just checking things out.

The government will make insect size drones illegal. They are so far away from being in the hands of the public anyway and you will lose signal access to them the moment they go behind layers of concrete because the signal is too weak.

Important sites will have some sort of jamming radar too as countermeasures against the insect cameras receiving flight data from the operator or streaming video data back.

I've agreed with every point you have made on this thread.

That movie they are making, there is a book by the same name by Eddie Bunker,
set in a prison. Not sure but its possible the case they are making a film on that and the synopsis
you posted and posted elsewhere is incorrect.

Eddie Bunker was a cult figure/ex criminal who ended up writing books and being an actor, he also played Mr Blue in reservoir dogs.

Now, I'm a fan of his work so I recognised the title and it would make sense if it was on him.

No ones ever taken photos of a movie being shot in the middle of NYC or some #? I dont think thats a valid excuse for why they werent allowed to film there, especially when you couldnt even see the movie film crew from the original video site.
