Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God,
he hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee
..hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the
brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our
sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more
excellent name than they.
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the
heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man..
but this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God
by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man,
he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name
which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
