I came across this and thought I would share, apologies if it's already been posted I searched for it to no avail.

This appears to be an irregular/oddly shaped dark anomaly spotted on Google moon

co-ordinates '27°34'26.35"N 19°36'4.75"W'

Resembles a human figure. It must be pretty huge whatever it is.

more info here

thoughts?

I saw this earlier and was thinking that the size of the anomaly may be due to the fact that what we're actually seeing is the elongated shadow of whatever it is.

That's true. We never can dismiss the fact that it can be a rock (or something), until we go there (๑•̆૩•̆)

Its a 20 year old picture of the moon taken from 3000 miles away.

I'm surprised we don't see more anomalies like this

It's Slender Man!
So that's where he goes when normal people go looking for him.

I have to admit that I'm lousy at finding higher resolution images of specific places on the Moon in the archives. Clementine, LRO, whatever. They're usually pretty good at setting the record straight.

It's slowly coming this way!! Drr..drr..drr...

That's pretty horrifying.

Very similar to the "anomalies" in this thread.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Crud on old analogue photos that have been scanned.

Compare to decent high-res pictures and there's nothing there:

(Excuse the slightly poor image registration: the angle of photos was not exactly the same.)

Not only that, isn't the light coming from the opposite direction to create the "shadow?" Those aren't bumps, they're craters. Light coming from the lower right.

Well it's nothing physically on the moon so the light direction is irrelevant. But yeah, the light is coming from totally the wrong direction to produce a shadow as annotated on the video!

Is this, like, a "paging Phage" meme?

I thought summoning him was like BeetleJuice - just say his name 3 times in a row and he pops up. Or is he the one where we draw a pentagram on the floor and say I summon thee 3 times? I always get those 2 mixed up.

Are them high res versions of the exact same time or at separate times?
If it was moving then it probably wouldn't be there on newer, high res pictures.

So "giant statues" can move now? Okaaayy...

Come on, people, it's clearly not a real object on the moon. Apply a little bit of thought.

You can find literally dozens, probably hundreds, of these bits of fluff on the old scanned photos on Google Moon.

There have been lots of threads about them on here too. I linked to one of them.
