Just heard about this on my local news. I am just wondering if ATS is among the websites they hacked; and I am also wondering what they plan to do with the information gathered.

"A Russian crime ring has amassed the largest known collection of stolen Internet credentials, including 1.2 billion user name and password combinations and more than 500 million email addresses, security researchers say."

What say you ATS...what is your take on all of this?

I just discovered another thread about this topic; here is the link...sorry folks. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Oh noes I'm so scared. . . /*checks bank balance*.

sees negative sums. . . *phew* No change there.

On a serious note, a couple of years ago my yahoo mail got hacked (password was used by someone), with the tool yahoo provides regarding access I could see it was someone in brazil or chile, can't be sure.

I'm guessing it was some "mass spam password trying bot" that eventually got the right one. They could of done a lot of damage to me if they wanted to since I think some passwords for forums are stored there, or just sent some porn to friends and family etc. Changed the password to a more complex one.
