Lord Zeus - King of Heaven

With a great and hidden Eye, you watch over all the hills and mountains of Gaea, for they gather to make war. Your people abide here still, in the valleys, and by the rivers. We await, and desire your swift return - for we know our time of suffering begins.

Cronus digs deep in the belly of Gaea, in the hidden caves and under the rocks he builds, and his hand reveals the World Egg.

He gathers his chicks, and from his mouth issues a poison red as blood, and one dark as pitch, and they devour this poison and are wounded. They eat his bitter poison. In the red poison is mingled pride and arrogance, and in the black, greed and injustice. In their belly's it burns, that they can sleep not at night, nor rest by day - but that they do violence on account of the poison that is in them.

Where the twin serpents twist their tails, there appears the Egg - and among the eagles he teaches the cruel and bitter ones to make war in heaven. His vultures, a cloud of pestilence, descends upon the foothills of Olympus - they spread their wings over the cedars.

Your watchers are among us, your Eye is upon us - we know you return soon - and the hills and mountains shall be struck down by your Cosmic Lightning, and the earth shall burn with unquenchable fire.

Yet even as the mountains and hills rise to defy heaven, your hand is merciful still.
