Getting the air force involved is no big deal. I live in Scotland not far from RAF Lossiemouth. The jets there are always flying around doing their stupid exercises.

What makes you think it's a big deal in this case. This could have been a drill. They are always doing drills and not informing the public. Makes it more real looking. And instils fear into the populace.

The Underwear Bomber and the Shoe Bomber were both CIA drills. But look at what has happened since these 2 idiots did their stuff. We have DNA screwing and gene changing Body Scanners! More intrusive checks and security and less rights for people travelling.

I heard someone say 'Maybe it was a drunk Englishman'. If that were true you can bet Alcohol will be banned on flights then. More freedoms taken away.

The plane was a Qatar Airways plane. Qatar are one of the biggest financiers of Terrorism. Which raises a red flag for me!

There have been countless alcohol related incidents on UK-bound flights, but no-one is even floating the idea of banning it.

And why is Qatar a red flag for you? If I recall correctly, they fly once/twice daily from Manchester and have done for years.

What makes you think this "incident" is anything other than a moron being a moron?

I'm just stating an opinion and a possibility. The possibility that this was a drill. I flown on Qatar flights. They are nice. Just a pity the country's rulers are Terrorists!
