Staff tell of fears as jet from Africa is quarantined after the death of passenger who was 'sweating and vomiting' before she collapsed
Airport staff tonight told of their fears of an Ebola outbreak after a passenger from Sierra Leone collapsed and died as she got off a plane at
Gatwick.
Workers said they were terrified the virus could spread globally through the busy international hub from the West African country which is in the grip
of the deadly epidemic.

Some new numbers: Ebola death toll rises to 826 as outbreak spins out of control
www.ft.com...
This stuff started in February and so far there are 826 fatalities (I have not seen how many are supposedly infected world wide ?)... In the big
scheme of things that really is not that many people considering where it started and their health facilities. Not saying this is not a concern due to
the nature of Ebola.. The first linked article said the lady was sick on the aircraft and throwing up. It will be interesting to see if any other
passengers come down with the bug; let us all hope that is not the case.
I doubt the workers initially at Gatwick had much more than rubber gloves when dealing with this passenger and the mess left on the aircraft unless
the Captain called ahead and mobilized the airports medical staff. The article unfortunately did not say much with regards to what was done after the
arrival of the flight.. anyway just an update..
