Niffty article though, wonder what it means...is our government going to stage another attack..possibly useing bio/chem this time? I pray not.

Still no real proof of WMD in Iraq, and I know why. BECAUSE Saddam has had over TEN count them 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 YEARS since Desert Storm to move them out of country!!! And beleive me if I was Saddam I would have moved them ten yrs ago too! Its all propaganda, ALL of it. Just be glad we recovered the supposed junk before some kid with a metal detector did...that would have been bad. "Hey Billy get your dads cutting torches I found a time capsule, lets see whats inside...Ok Johny."

That's very funny Fantastic Damage but seriously don't you think the 210,000 people reported missing and now considered dead as a result of Saddam Hussein, should have been treated in the same way the matter was treated in Bosnia.

I wonder what went wrong and why all so much effort went into not discussing the matter with the world, even though Amnesty international after the fact is saying "Yeah we knew about it but with Saddam in charge we could do nothing about it".

Duh... they could have reported it???

I see a massive cover up here, which begins which, such entities as the Arab Press and the human rights groups and ends with the President of the UN.

So as far as why the US cannot find WMD as of yet, yes it is important; as important as Al-Quaeda responding to Arab support of American forces in Iraq by engaging in suicide bombing.

FD 2 out of 3 ain't bad and given how large this cover up really is there is no reason not to believe Saddam was able to hide the WMD so well we have not found them yet.

Toltec - Look at the annual reports by human rights watch, amnesty international, I believe you'll find Iraq on most of those lists.

The WMD issue is distinct from human rights abuses. WMD's are a threat to national security, human rights abuses aren't. (That's why the US usually ignores them)

Interesting that live bacteria was found. Several years ago, there was a 60 Minutes(?) segment on the Army's disposal of bacteriological agents. The Army was supposed to use three different procedures to kill the bacteria (chemicals, heat) to insure that no live bacteria would remain. This was to guarantee the safety of the disposed agents.

Iraq may be there but a recent report I read stated they new about the missing but could do nothing about it.

The issue of the missing was never discussed until
now

Perhaps my conclusion that Amnesty Internation is a part of the cover-up was and is incorrect but with that many people dead I feel it should not be discounted.

For the record the us did not ignore the matter as the President stated we were going into Iraq to free the Iraqi people.

It's the usual strategy of the Bush administration in this age of soundbites and short memories, to change tack all the time to justify the unjustifiable.

It needs to be perfectly clear to all Americans that there ARE Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, because your govrenment has told you so VEHEMENTLY and REPEATEDLY. This has always been the reason for invading Iraq. You wouldn't trust your government if they insisted on that to this day, and then told you the WMDs don't matter - would you?

Here is what the current US government has said to the world about WMDs in Iraq:

Placing the value of 250,000 known dead above that of anything else is what is interesting. 5 truckloads of illegal weapons could have been hidden anywhere but the known dead that is another story.

In Bosnia the answer was simple why was it not so simple with Iraq???

Well... not exactly.

Bush said we were going into Iraq to take out Saddam and his bazillion weapons of mass destruction because Saddam and his bombs were a threat to the world and so forth.

If you'll recall, it wasn't until AFTER they started NOT to find WMD, that Bush began to talk more about human rights.

Byrd I was there when George Bush made the speech which was the commencement of the GW2 he said "free the Iraqi people"

Those were the words he used
