Should DOD shoot Ebola plane down?

I am just asking the question. I am not saying I support shooting it down. I do not believe we should bring infected people to the US. US has right to deny access to anyone including American citizens especially when sick with a pandemic level disease.

Does not seem that any of our Federal government has approved allowing these people with this deadly disease to bring the disease into the Nation.

I do not wish anyting bad for these people but they took a risk going there and there is no reason the rest of us should be put at risk because of their personal choice to endanger themselves.

They fly US servicemen that get infected with tropical diseases back all the time while on deployment (there more to the world than Ebola).

Is he referring to a person carrying the virus? Do you believe there is no Ebola virus sitting in a lab somewhere in the US? The DoD doesn't have it somewhere? Some med school lab or research doesn't have it somewhere?

USA has had Ebola infected monkeys in a number of research institutes for decades.

No I don't believe there is no Ebola here. The Reston strain was discovered here in apes in Virginia. I am guessing he means no people and not this strain. I would bet there is Ebola in a lab . a reply to: Bilk22

Ya research....like this strain of Ebola killing 50%-90% does the flu do that? When was the last time you hear one person possibly infected 30,000 people with the Flu? And Ebola can be spread airborne as well so ya it is a much bigger deal the the flu......

No it can not in humans so get your facts straight.

Only ONE strain of Ebola is airborne in humans and it produces no harmful symptoms or effects.

So get your bloody facts straight.

The OP is a lesson on (1) how to be unsympathetic to the sick and (2) ignorance of Ebola.

Ebola is a nasty disease, but with proper isolation measures poses low risk of onward transmission. In an advanced heath care system the chances of survival will be greatly improved.

True, but some of the spread is attributed families ignoring medical personnel and having contact with the bodies (to wash them) after they pass. If I'm dead from Ebola I would hope nobody decides to wash me with bare hands. Dying in a car accident and being prepped is one thing...

I've also seen some stories about family ignoring doctors because they think it's some mysterious disease brought by white people, angry gods, and unicorns. I realize the spread isn't all from washing, but I think its mostly from bad education about how its spread and how to stop it. If the governments in these countries were worth their salt, they would do what China just did because of a suspected plague case. Seal off the town, no emotions, no questions. Just seal it off and stop the damn spread.

Im not going to pretend there are roses growing in anyones ass in this world,BUT,how do we know there isn't some Einstien of Ebola waiting to try his hand at stopping it? I know i would prefer a country known for medical breakthroughs dealing with this,not to say the USA is the be all end all of medicine but they do know more than the patient.
If it is an outbreak,plague what have you..use your heads.Take an extra minute and think about where you go,who you come in contact with..and if you think you are sick..stay the 'f' away from people dont be a bigger part of the problem.WE are the ONLY ones who can TRY to change this hypnotic state the world is sucking us into.
We have the intelligence ..hell we know more about whats going on in the world from every perspective due to this site then the average citizen,that means we can find solutions sooner if collectively we tried.

If it was airborne it would have affected a lot more than just 1,000 people. Look at the Spanish Flu and how quickly that spread. This current Ebola outbreak is nowhere near the ballpark of that horrific pandemic.
