Just so everyone is clear ... progressive=liberal=Democrat=Un-American=communist=fascist=George Soros=Alinsky=Nazis=undead-alien-babyeaters.
Oh wait, left one off ... "=BS."
All "progressives" do not agree with all "liberals" who do not agree with "all Democrats" etc. etc.
I do not, of course, expect such obvious facts to make any difference to the ATS Amen Corner.

It's not the "amount" of money being spent that is an issue. It is where and how it is being spent that is the issue.
We've identified the problem. How do we fix it?

Perhaps you would like to explain "rewriting the Constitution"? Such as with Constitutional Amendments? I believe the body of the Constitution has remained unchanged for quite awhile, though I have lived outside the country for almost a decade now, and maybe I have missed something??
Perhaps it is where you consider the 'rewrite' takes place, as well the example in my own inquiry about ignoring the inconvenient parts.

Still does not detract from the fact that Obama is a foreign policy disaster walking.
For more than a decade, the Pew Research Center has been asking people around the world about their opinion of the United States. The upshot: In every region of the globe except the Middle East (where the United States was wildly unpopular under George W. Bush and remains so), America’s favorability is way up since Obama took office. In Spain, approval of the United States is 29 percentage points higher than when Bush left office. In Italy, it’s up 23 points. In Germany and France, it’s 22. With the exception of China, where the numbers have remained flat, the trend is the same in Asia. The U.S. is 19 points more popular in Japan, 24 points more popular in Indonesia, and 28 points more popular in Malaysia. Likewise among the biggest powers in Latin America and Africa: Approval of the United States has risen 19 points in Argentina and 12 points in South Africa. (For some reason, there’s no Bush-era data on this question for Brazil or Nigeria).

Rewriting is a term used to describe the process of a "living document". With the case of our Constitution this means that progressives view that that the "Constitution has a dynamic meaning...."
Can you give me an example of "ignoring the inconvenient parts"... If you referring to the Patriots Act, I agree it is dangerous to our Constitution....
Did they ever pinpoint what those "cuts" were affecting ?
Obama is the failure 100% because he as well as Democrats refuse to compromise and negotiate in good faith.
How do you compromise and negotiate with a party that can only say no? He has made many attempts to negotiate but the GOP wants no of it like spoiled children they just want their way.

Good luck with ever accomplishing anything productive for society short of entirely obliterating every one of them danged 'pergressivs' from the face of the Earth, at least until all the remaining fall in lockstep behind those who know what is good and fair and Right.
