From what I can see almost all politicians are corrupt. By your argument we could stage a coup in any country in the world and it would be justified.

Simple fact is the US State Dept and CIA along with privately funded NGO's destabilized Ukraine. They caused the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych who was the democratically elected president whether you or me or anyone liked him or not.

We say we believe in democracy but don't and now Kiev is using ballistic missiles on the Russian speaking people of east Ukraine (regardless of excuses.)

The Maidan uprising was no "natural" uprising. It is a result of sabotage and propaganda. Unfortunately many Ukrainians have bought into Western propaganda which has resulted in division of Ukrainian society.

And the billions the then president took for him and his cronies wouldn't be a reason,why because the west made all that up as propaganda and let's not forget the impending impeachment he faced for his corruption.

You are right none of that really matters as it is all the west's fault...gotcha.

Infact that is the approach used by US lately. The only way to stop this is to keep US involved in busy theaters like Iraq and Afghanistan, so that Washington keeps its nose out of other places.

You made the claim, now support it.

Russia should immediately intervene in S-E Ukraine and force in a cease fire.

The DPR front will not hold for more than week it seems. Every day 1-2 towns or villages are falling to Junta forces which have more numbers and much more firepower.

Russia should not be scared of the sanctions as they will be either now or later. If Russia settles with only Crimea in hand now, then NGOs will be used to create another Maidan in Moscow in few months at most. Any strong hand to control them will result in economic sanctions from the west and then same old story.

All roads to Moscow go through Kiev. Russia needs to control Kiev to keep peace and independence in its country.

Russia should also invite BRICS and other nations to provide peacekeepers.

As I said in another thread, if Russia feels threatened, this is only because it's own insecurities and it's own behaviour. A year ago, Russia was on good terms with the EU and trading well, by doing what it has done, it has only served to alienate itself. But I suppose this plays well at home for Putin when claiming the evil Western bogeyman is after them....

Either Russia enters the theater as a peacekeeper or increases the covert support by 4x. This will help rebels push the Junta forces much away from the current set up. That is the immediate requirement.

It would be idiotic for Russia to do nothing at this crucial moment. Both artillery and aviation are being used by Junta against the civilians in Donetsk.

You know, saying it 4 times in a post that really added nothing - you clearly just made this post so you could say "Junta" as many times as possible - is just a tad childish.

Nothing is being "used against civilians" - it is being used against rebels who are hiding amongst civilians populations in built up area's - and certainly no where near to the extent Russia has deployed heavy weaponry and aircraft against it's own population (and that of other nations) in recent years - see Chechnya or Georgia for example. It is very hypocritical of you to keep banging on about it.

Russia cannot send its military into Ukraine as "peacekeepers" unless Ukraine agrees to it and I don't see that happening anytime soon. Secondly when 2 nations are involved, one nation does not send its military into the other as peacekeepers. Especially when said nation invaded Ukraine.

Peacekeepers would need to come from a 3rd party nation and approved by Ukraine, not Russia. BRICS has no authority to send in peacekeepers. That rile is reserved to the United Nations.

By accident found an article that shows at least some in America are becoming uneasy at Ukraine situation.

This article is written with typical American bias but has many gems that shows the true nature of American and EU involvement in Ukraine.

So this is actually a planned Western war, a proxy war being fought with Russia. The only problem is that the war is likely to turn into a real major war.

The massive Western military will not be defeated in one day. But it will. This is the destiny.

The last time someone went on about "destiny" and imagined attacks by foreigners, we (as in the West) ground him up and annihilated his armies.

If you want to talk history, then let's do it. Russia only held off the Germans owing to willingness to sacrifice millions in the meat grinder. Russia’s population simply is not the same as it was back then and will not tolerate nor be able to sustain such a campaign again.
