Not at all FDRs most famous quotes to be sure. But I often wonder
why not? So today, I've decided to spin a little thread and put a question to
ATS. That being: why don't americans pay more attention to what these quotes
are saying? Do people consider these statements as being made when FDR
was delusional? Drunk maybe? They're very straight forward and leave little
room for misinterpretation. Yet it seems far to many americans and even ATS
members would rather pretend that these quotes don't exist. Is there any
doubt FDR knew what he was talking about? On the contrary I'm sure he knew
exactly what he was saying and meant it in no other context other than what
the words portray.

“True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.
Freedom”

“The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism -- ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.... Among us today a concentration of private power without equal in history is growing.”

“In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”

“Presidents are selected, not elected.”

― Franklin D. Roosevelt

So pay attention people!

If that is the case then FDR was the biggest FASCIST this country has ever seen.

FDR the confiscation of American citizens gold was one of his 'greatest' achievements.

Ok neo, but I was referring more to the truth and validity
of the quotes and the obvious message they convey.

And most people miss that the biggest factor behind the growth of so-called private power today is the complicity of the government. So who is actually more powerful? The state that enabled it or the private entity the state grew?

I've been saying that for years....if FDR said that, then the country's been in trouble for a lot longer than I realized.

Then you may also find this one interesting.

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.”
― Franklin D. Roosevelt

So some key people have obviously been trying to alert us
for a very long time. And yet BTW this thread is going, reality
is taboo and scary.

Maybe he was referring to the "Rothschild" effect.

That outfit has been juggling around the world for a couple hundred years already.

Sure, Obama was used so that there would not be another black person elected for a long time. Dems\Left hate minorities but they knew it was the only way to get there person elected and have control for eight years. Do you think that TPTB would have this much control if Billary was in office? Nope. Two birds with one stone. Very sad....and so many bought into the 'dream'....
