The solution is simple, deal with them on the other side of the border before they cross. Tell Mexico that if they dont want all hell to break loose from the the Big Bad United States, that we will assist from THEIR side, if that doesnt work, then something needs to replace the Mexcian government so they can take care of their own problems. I am tired of fixing the world for everyone else when I struggle every day.

Build a fence and cut Mexico off if they dont want to stand up an deal with their internal issues.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me ...

Who am I to question Christ?

That was Jesus talking, not the USA. Let them come to Jesus.

Jesus also said, "let him who has two coats, sell one and buy a sword...."

Ergo, Jesus supports concealed carry.

I don't know what small little world you live in, not that I haven't seen different sports fans hating each other but its typically only a handful among thousands, rivalries are fun except if you add idiots, I have many friends that hate the red sox and patriots, we tease each other not punch each other. Only small minds can't handle difference and you lot might scream the loudest but you're in the minority and your time is about up I'd offer you hug in your way out but you probably think I have a contagious disease.

Must every issue this country faces be turned into an Us vs. the Christians showdown? One Christian in the crowd expressed a religious concern, and here you are acting like this guy was addressing a Baptist congregation. FYI, Christians aren't the only ones opposed to illegal immigration, or abortion, or gay culture, or Socialism, so stop trying to make us own your opposition.

It's a dropping of the facade.

Liberalism is really anti-Christian. You can no longer be a Christian and be a good liberal.

No liberal wants to hear that as a Christian, I believe in compassion for everyone who is not actively committing a crime.

The trouble is that "compassion" is being redefined by liberals. It used to mean helping people. Now compassion means to remain silent while people rob us.

Texas schools are overcrowded. some of the most overcrowded schools in the US, outside of California. Who is crowding them? Illegal aliens from Mexico.

The illegals aren't going to pay any taxes. They will claim benefits, but will never pay into the system. And Obama facilitates them in doing this because he hates Texas and wants to spend as much of its money as possible.

Compassion? We can`t afford it, what with close to 18 trillion dollars in debt and all.All those from diferent countries crying and moaning about compassion for the children should take a few of those children into their homes and deal with them.I have dealt with illegals all of my life and I`m done.Deport them all no amnesty!

Send them back.

No compassion.

I believe in American borders and a legal process for becoming an American. Allowing these burdens in may be compassionate, but it is also economically stupid.

It's hard to take someone who says stuff like, "No compassion" seriously enough to respond to, but I'll make the effort just to point out how horribly wrong you are.

There is a legal mechanism in place for dealing with children in this situation.

Just before leaving office, on Dec. 23, 2008, George W. Bush signed into law the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act. This bipartisan measure, named for a 19th century British abolitionist, was aimed at extending and beefing up efforts to prevent and prosecute human trafficking and protect the victims of trafficking. More importantly, it described exactly how unaccompanied children crossing the border must be treated.

For children coming from Mexico and Canada, countries with a border with the United States, a Border Patrol officer has the authority to determine whether the child is eligible to stay in the country. And because the child can be easily handed over to officials from his or her home country, the process can move very quickly.

But for kids from Central America, where handing them back to authorities is more complicated, the law dictates that Customs and Border Patrol must turn undocumented children over to the Department of Health and Human Services within 72 hours.

HHS will then hold them humanely until they can be released to a “suitable family member” in the United States.
And the law requires HHS to ensure “to the greatest extent practicable” that these detained children “have counsel to represent them in legal proceedings or matters” who can explain how to apply for asylum or find ways to stay in the country.

At the time, the changes were intended to prevent immigration officials from inadvertently sending kids back to pimps and drug violence. The bill passed with remarkable speed – introduced Dec. 9, 2008, passed the House and Senate on the 10th and signed into law 13 days later.

So, you see, this is a nation of laws, not hate. And the law is being enforced. Deporting them in a knee jerk reaction is ILLEGAL. Stopping them at the border is ILLEGAL. Basically, what you would do is ILLEGAL.

As for the economic impact...

The economy in border states like Texas and Arizona is actually built on the exploitation of undocumented workers. It's why they're so opposed to amnesty. If these workers had a real voice they would organize and demand real wages, which oddly enough would give them more purchasing power and help the economy. Historically, immigrants have never been moochers, but instead have been the hardest working people in this country.

How easily most of you are fooled! Look beyond the MSM reporting, the hype, the slideshows. When you get to the real truth on this, it will make you sick.

This has been in the works for over 2 years now. The government planned this mass "migration" for quite some time. Follow the damn money!!! The SOLE reason this is happening is to secure power for progressives. Note that I say progressives and not democrats. Progressives have assumed control of the government and are actually running BOTH parties!!! Whatever you call this so-called Tea Party is just a front to divert conservatives away from what is really going on. It's classic "slight of hand."

Progressives got in bed with corporations a LONG time ago (WILSON), and have been steadily working the system until they concentrate power with a select few. Look at how the POTUS is taking it upon himself to rule by executive order; something no other president has ever done to this extreme. Look at how the majority leaders of the house & senate play this dog & pony show trying to make us believe that they care (via carefully scripted and edited soundbites).

I feel for any child that is subject to horrible living conditions. My wife and I sponsor a child from a very poor nation, and I've seen first hand poverty in these countries. But, these children are not coming here unaided. This is a networked operation, designed for a specific purpose.

Again, it will make you sick when you realize the truth.

Can we use the "compassion" argument for abortion then?

Or is compassion just another word-weapon to be used to push an agenda that allows a group to violate law?

You do realize that in order to commit a crime; one must have a motive, means and opportunity. Many of the children some folks are calling "criminals" are too young to comprehend what they are doing and why they have been separated from their families and they certainly do not meet any of those three criteria. Now, I will grant you that some of the older "kids" in their mid to upper teens certainly know what they are doing, but I can't blame them for trying to better their circumstances....to me, that is still less than criminal.

And we all know exactly who gets away with breaking the
law when it doesn't suit them.

How would stopping them at the border be illegal? If they don't enter the country in the first place, then our laws don't apply to them. A border agent can't hand over anyone that isn't in his custody.

You mean, like take good care of the fetus until it is aborted? Sure.

Weak argument IMO.

With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,

Ring any bells? It seems not for some on here.

Based on the protest I've seen on MSM as well as some of the heartless responses in this thread, I'd venture to say that your quote from "The New Colossus" could serve as the foundation of a valid law suit for false advertising.

Then again, I'd just bet that if a poll were taken.... the right-wingers here in America would overwhelmingly support having that plaque removed from the Statue of Liberty and how pathetic is that?

Maybe. Who cares about the millions of unborn when we can all care about the ones we don't kill from other countries.

i like the idea of letting people immigrate here. what i don't understand is how we are going to take care of them when a huge chunk of our population don't have jobs. another even bigger chunk are so poor they have to rely on government social programs, and those programs are going to be over burdened since there are no jobs here for the new arrivals either. it's a cool idea to help but where we are going to encounter problems is, it's not like it was even 20 years ago. the economy is in the gutter. adding more poverty to it will not help them or us. it'll just pile misery on top of misery.

So we are to believe that a seven year old living somewhere in South America, manages to walk thousands of miles with no food, water or money and manages to make it to the promised land after passing through multiple countries, passing through border crossings etc etc.

I am not buying it! It is just plain ridiculous.

Something else is afoot!

This is a snow job for someone's benefit.

Remember the tag line

Its for the children, think of the poor children

I think you need to change the name of the White House. Perhaps Crap House would be better.
