Any group that specifically makes it a non-profit mission to draw into question the federal government or further the federal reserve would have been targeted, for the same reasons that Ron Paul and other libertarian groups were designated to be harassed in the media and by state authorities for simply having a bumper sticker on a car....last time I checked socialist groups that believe in government control of society are the only ones that promote this kind of behavior and the only ones that would benefit, just common sense in that regard that they also would be ignored by the IRS and the tea party groups would be moved to the front of the targeting and harassment line.....to make it appear good, they still have to look at a couple progressive groups every now and then and plead the 5th when they get caught.

if any of you really want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes I suggest you dig yourself deeply into the TIdes foundation....

.In 2011, Tides received about $90 million in funding, and awarded about $96 million to various individuals and organizations.[3] Tides has received at least $3.5 million from financier and political activist George Soros.[4] From 2003 to 2012, Tides gave around $4.4 million to media advocacy organization Media Matters for America.

Ron Paul: End the Income Tax, Abolish the IRS.

Ron Paul supports the elimination of the income tax and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He asserts that Congress had no power to impose a direct income tax and has called for the repeal of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, which was ratified on February 3, 1913.

An income tax is the most degrading and totalitarian of all possible taxes. Its implementation wrongly suggests that the government owns the lives and labor of the citizens it is supposed to represent.

I want to abolish the income tax, but I don’t want to replace it with anything. About 45 percent of all federal revenue comes from the personal income tax. That means that about 55 percent — over half of all revenue — comes from other sources, like excise taxes, fees, and corporate taxes.

We could eliminate the income tax, replace it with nothing, and still fund the same level of big government we had in the late 1990s
. We don’t need to “replace” the income tax at all. I see a consumption tax as being a little better than the personal income tax, and I would vote for the Fair-Tax if it came up in the House of Representatives, but it is not my goal. We can do better.”

Obfuscated in the GOP led "conspiracy" cries was that the IRS targeted ALL political groups - liberals included, with names like "Occupy" and "Progressive" in addition to the names like "Tea Party."

The IRS "also investigated liberal groups, groups that had progressive in their name. ... The IRS was basically looking at everybody."

New Records: IRS Targeted Progressive Groups More Extensively Than Tea Party

New Docs: IRS Targeted Liberal Groups The Most. Darrell Issa To Apologize Any Day Now, We Are Sure

IRS inspector general: Liberals also on target list

Darrel Issa has been desperate to keep that snippet of information out of the limelight so he could keep his party base in a constant state of outrage for political reasons.

The actions were designed to curb abuses by political groups flooding politics with 'dark money' - to curb corruption.

Funny they can turn up these particular documents. But no hard drives. How much they paying you?
