For the Last almost two weeks I can not turn a channel, pick up a paper or mag, or browse the Internet without being bombarded with Gaza war stories.

I want to know what is being done on the boarder, and what bills they are passing in Congress and the Senate, and what executive orders the prez is signing in defiance to the Rule of Law.

All I can conclude is the media is hiding something and distracting us with all the Gaza nonsense and the protests.

Joe the Boarder: Well, it's disgusting, I mean it's enough to put you off your food
Surely, Obama ordered Hamas to kidnap those 3 kids.

Very little of the media is actually working for the government(s), I suspect. Instead, they gleefully cover whatever seems to be the most obvious and bloodiest stories available. This is generally done to distract attention away from what these governments don't want you to know. That social media in these areas is tightly censored is also not a coincidence, since now ordinary people have the power to publicize hidden information to the rest of the world.

If you think the POTUS actually has any real power I guess. But some superpower *COUGH Russia! cough* did kill those kids, either because they found a Holy Relic, or because they wanted to distract the world from the recovery efforts there....

Gaza nonsense ?

And people think Americans are insular , you sure dispelled that myth.
You can find the answers to the questions you ask online if you can be bothered to look for it , the suffering of the peoples of Gaza are more important and more deserving of being highlighted in pictures that what your corrupt self serving politicians are up to.
The media are doing their job highlighting injustice and the suffering of innocent men , women and most importantly children who are being blown to pieces through no fault of their own.

The media are doing their job

Repeating the same topics over and over, for days while ignoring other topics. I can believe that from one network, but when all networks report and ignore the same topics - it reveals itself for what it is, scripted.

Did you hear labron is back in Cleveland?
Lol
I don't think most people care what happens in Washington, or don't understand when they do.
They only worry about their little part of the world.

So, the suffering of the people in Gaza are "more important" than those suffering right now in Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, etc. That's because Israel isn't involved in those conflicts. The media is far from doing it's job. Talking about being insular.

I didn't say that , Gaza was picked out by the OP although it is on another level due to the small space that so many people are packed into in Gaza.
The people of Ukraine, Iraq, Syria have freedom of movement whereas the people of Gaza are locked in a shooting gallery.

Remember...the stories that you want...are not necessarily in their best interests to keep up....missing school girls, lost plane, Libya, Gaza....next week it will be something else.

Oh nothing will have changed ...but people lose interest...so the media grabs other things...to grab its listeners....no matter which story you think is important...that doesnt matter. Its the multitude of listerners, readers and watchers overall that does.

God forbid they should go to another publication, channel or news source!

Propaganda is legal in the united states courtesy of obama. Once msm started talking about the escorts then they had to stop...digging further would have made the border stuff sound planned

Truth of the matter is, if all the media did was highlight the "border crisis", we would all be declaring that they are using it as a distraction to avoid discussing Gaza and Ukraine.

Propaganda has been used by the United States since its inception.

That is the point I have to really look and sometimes I just like to get a brief rundown on things that I care about.

America really does need to be Insular, stop giving out our tax dollars to terrorist and oil mongering ME countries, we need to focus on our problems here and not be so troubled by what some Arabs who have a country already and are screaming they want to have a Palestinian country when there is no such thing as a Palestinian. the name comes from a Latin Generalization of the Area we call the Middle East which included so Turkey, Lebanon,ia Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Saudi Arab . that's right the so called Palestinians are Arabs just compare their DNA it is a fact.

We need to deal with our problems and solve them before we can solve the worlds problems.

I just want some main stream focus on us. the problems over there only affect us because it causes the prices of everything to go up, and that only because we limited our own oil production here to give those poor Palestinians a chance to get a head.
