That's the thing isn't it? No matter how "naked" you think you are, or how much you peel away from all the superficiality and preconceived ideas, there's always another layer.
It's like even our subconscious has it's own set of masks which we don't have much power over, unless we are some kind of buddha or something.

At the end of the day, I can go through the layers of thoughts, values, intents, and peel them down like a onion until I get to the layers that really have no desire or goal except to experience existence- in whatever form or movement that may be. Even to desire comfort or pleasure is not a core intent- pain and discomfort will do just as well- that is just more experience.

I'd say If you can reach that level, than you are already enlightened!

The trick to your subconscious is to accept that it is just trying to protect you, the problem is, it does this in the absence of reason, hence why so much of human behavior is perceived as unreasonable...
