Napolitano seems no wiser than his fellow political elite morons to be fair. Look at this part of the statements he makes...

FAIL!

The majority are the boss, and when they are not, THEN you have tyranny, because tyranny by its very definition is a system of power distribution where the many have no power what so ever, and one, or a very small few people have all of the power.

There is no tyranny in a political system which respects the people as the power. It is not POSSIBLE for a nation ruled by its citizens as a whole, to be a tyranny, only by centralising power away from the people and toward a limited number of entitled nut scratchers does tyranny ever come about.

This guy has his head as deeply in the sand on this point, this very important, and central point, as do the rest of the worlds big political players. From that phrase, I quoted above, it is pretty obvious that this is yet another fellow with an attitude toward these things which can be boiled down to "If the people have the power, then I haven't got jack. Can't have that, let's advocate for centralised power, wooooo!".

Again, massive fail, I hope this chump gets buried in quicksand.

You would have to know him via some of his speeches and videos .. He totally understands America is a republic. The founders were very concerned about 3 wolves and sheep voting on what's for supper so we were founded as a Republic not a democracy.... so the many can not (supposedly) take the rights of the few... It certainly has not always worked that way but that was the idea. Kinda like blind justice and equality for all... However the scales she holds was very prophetic IMO for it seems in today's legal system those who are measured by the weight of their coin seem to win the legal battles.

The US is a democratic republic not a democracy.

That doesnt ring true for mob mentality where a small number of people create chain reactions to the masses.

Sometimes the majority of people are too stupid or hateful to know whats right. Sometimes the majority makes decisions for minorities who dont get power.

There is no perfect government structure in any kind of gov.

As long as money is in the politics real democracy can not exist.

As long as advertising and PR are used to gain votes, real democracy does not exist.


Currently politics is all about money, which is largely gained from corporate sponsors. The money is used to create strong campaigns, which help to gain the votes from people. Although the real obligation for politicians rather lies in front of their sponsors who helped them gain votes rather than people who voted for them.

Ideally there should be no money involved at all or if there is, then exactly the same amount as for every other candidate, as in reality people are influenced a lot by advertising.

Every candidate should get exactly the same amount of air-time, exactly the same amount of coverage in newspapers. Nothing else, than politicians political views, should affect the amount of votes they get. Then it would be democracy.

In my humble opinion our democracy has been a fraud since December 23, 1913. The day the Federal Reserve act was signed into law.

Although society still lived in an American mentality for the next 40-50 years afterwards, and tried to flourish, the forming of the Federal Reserve was the downfall of our republic and became a cancerous tumor of humanity.

I'm no particular fan of the judge for reasons I won't detail here. However even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I disagree with you and hence agree with the judge about this:

We (the USA) are ideally a nation of laws, not of men. We hold some truths to be self-evident. We believe some rights are inalienable and not up for debate. We have some regrettable periods of our history representing examples of the tyranny of the majority (like slavery). The point I believe he's trying to make, and one with which I agree, is that there are some things that are inherently wrong (or worse) even if the majority agrees with them.

Should the majority be able to legally vote for the enslavement or elimination of a minority? If they could, would that not be as destructive to human freedom as the tyranny of a madman?

Napolitano (IMO) is another shrill carnival barker, but he occasionally makes a valid point. Where he sometimes ends up taking said point is another kettle of cod.
