It was lunchtime when a tracked launcher with four SA-11 surface-to-air missiles rolled into town and parked on Karapetyan Street. Fifteen hundred miles (2,400 kilometers) to the west, passengers were checking in for Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

need a second source for this, but it is likely the facts of that day

That's not "journalism", it's propaganda.

Who do you think, looks at their clocks and say "11:30, vehicle passes by". And what civilian, do you think knows the difference between a bulk missile, and an SA-11 missile.

Whenever an act like this occurs, people are traumatized ... which causes all recollection to be out of sync. That's what psy-ops are based upon, in the first place.

Nobody ... it's propaganda, prepared statements. Anyone can write a short story, stating this and that ... it's called dis-information. And because it's in the media, it's supposed to be true. Most people buy the big media outlet ... especially in the west.

And you can spot it, immediately if it's a propaganda post ... because it lacks "journalism". And what do I mean, by that it lacks "journalism". I mean, that there is no critisism in there ... if there is "pointing of finger", the finger is being pointed at an unseen enemy. Unseen to us, here in the west ... but everything "our" side has done, is white and clean ... "we" are the good guys.

There are no good guys in a war, when they say one side is ... it's propaganda, not "journalism". It might as well be a WWII war movie, made in Hollywood ... and starred by John Wayne.

to every story there is some truth, we did see video of a sam launcher moving into the area and we have photographic evidence that it was this type of missile that made the kill, we have the recorded phone conversations.

some of the facts may be exaggerated, but there is some truth to what is said. it is likely that events followed the track laid down, maybe not exactly but still on a parallel course

Just playing Devil's Advocate, but we do have spy satellites that can read the details of what kind of beer they are drinking at this moment. Just sayin'....

not only that, it is now known we can track a large number of missile launches, if not all in the world, and know to a high degree of certainty where it was actually launched from.

Gerst explained that he noticed unusual streaks of light and "orange fireballs" on the planet after he floated into the space station's cupola — a dome with seven large windows that look down at Earth. He said he didn't realize what he was looking at until after he snapped a few photos. Though he didn't capture any explosions in the pictures, Gerst said he saw several blasts.

if an astronaut in outer space can identify relatively small missiles flying across the land, our spy satellites designed to track such events can do so in a very high degree of certainty. meaning we probably have video evidence of the launch and detonation

the evidence continues to mount

Stepping up pressure on Moscow, the U.S. on Sunday released satellite images it says show that rockets have been fired from Russia into neighboring eastern Ukraine and that heavy artillery for separatists has crossed the border.

It's BUK, not bulk, and the BUK is the SA-11. The 9K37 missile that was first used on the BUK system was the SA-11 under NATO designation. The BUK-M1-2 and the BUK-M2 use a new version of the 9K37 missile and have the designation SA-17 under NATO.

and that's just the images we want to release, considering what skybox imaging has you can be assured the military has even more capabilities

And that's supposed to mean what?

The Russians have spy satellites and the Chinese too ...

Just because someone in the US displays an image and says "Mr. X did it", doesn't mean that the correlation between the image and Mr. X is true. Nobody is putting into question that MH17 was shot down, nor is anyone putting into question that a shot was fired.

Colin Powell went on record and showed satellite images of vehicles that were supposed to be VMD's all over Iraq. Nobody questions the image, only the meaning it was supposed to give. Which in return made Colin Powell look like liar all over the world.

Simple facts.

US shows you an image of Russians firing over the border. No, you see an image of an artillery fire. And you are "told" it means that it's the Russians, and the target is Ukraine. While you are busy blaming the Russians, the Ukranians are bombarding the Rebels with a lightning advancement and gaining position. But you didn't see that, because you are too full of nationalistic propaganda, and too busy with shouting "Sieg Heil", that you aren't interrested in the Truth. The only thing you are interrested in, is the Victory march.

The fact is, that the image you see is probably Ukranians firing artillery on the Rebels, to gain advancements. Perhaps that was a small aid fire from Russia.

But you missed the entire story ... because you were too busy looking for excuse for you own people murdering millions for the past decade. In your puny brain, it's ok, if you can label Putin a bad guy.

Is that an excuse for Ukranian soldiers to move from city to city and execute public officials as they go along, as well as other civilians. The fact is, what Ukraine is doing doesn't even make the News here. You have to go to Chinese to see that being reported.

And when you don't report, what one side is doing ... and blow out proportion what the other side is doing ... it's called propaganda.

Non objective, nazi propaganda.

except today civilian imaging satellites have the same capabilities that military ones have so it is quite easily to obtain the same photographs that the NRO has provided, on top of that the ability to record hd video.

now it is highly likely that if a company like skybox imaging has the ability to record hd video in such detail the nro, cia, military can do so in much, much greater detail and probably in color.

since they know the resolution and altitude they can conclude which type of missile left the marks on the soil. you cannot hide from satellites and even if you know their orbits, unmanned drones can loiter and watch undetected during the times satellites may not be overhead
