I entered in a class action suit against naked juice (PepsiCo) a while back because they misled consumers about the healthfulness of their drinks.

Well guess what? We won baby!!

Let this be a lesson to other would be evil corporations out there. Joe Q. Public has lawyers too!

Let's see.

Pepsico revenues are $66.46 billion. Their annual advertising budget is $600 million.

For lying to consumers over a six year period, they had to pay $9 million or $1.5 million for each year. In other words, a quarter of a percent for a single year of their advertising budget.

Pepsico got a good deal.

The only thing class action lawsuits accomplish is buying the attorneys a new yacht.

I got .37 from Barnes and Noble a couple of months back. I knew they were losing sleep over that. I felt like a real wein... I mean winner.

Good for you. But I tend to agree with another poster above... The lawyers get yachts and we get checks that are rarely worth the gas it takes to drive to the bank to cash them.

Congratulations to you because its the principle of the thing is sometimes more important to the long terms good of society than large payouts to those who consider only short term benefits to themselves.

good work
