Which 3 people are you talking about here? 3 Israeli kids were killed. That isn't what this is about. Some Israelis turned vigilante and burned a Palestinian kid alive in retaliation. That was two evils equaling horror on a stick.

It still wasn't a war yet.

It became one when Hamas decided this would be the perfect time to launch some rockets. Then they became hundreds. Now, they are thousands again. Just like the last Gaza conflict. Israel wouldn't be there if they had not started shooting rockets and shown rockets weren't all they had now. Now they come with true missiles going as far as 100 miles up-country.

That makes Hamas a serious force. Now it seems they will be treated like one. They may truly come to regret the change they forced in the balance with the long range warheads.

Artillery to the East, Israeli tanks and troops to the north, east and south, naval gunfire from the sea. The IDF air force and drones buzzing incessantly overhead. Where to run, the "Gazans" live in a prison with thirty foot walls, no mans land and barb wire with towers and machine guns. The place is sealed, there is no place to evacuate to.

If the "citizens" of Gaza had one tank, one ship, one runway, one fighter jet it would be bombed to shreds in moments. As it is all they are able got do is piss on trays and dry it in the sun, mixing urea nitrate with sugar to power their piss and sugar bottle rockets in some kind of vain protest towards their oppressive occupiers, hoping to hell they fall outside the fence and maybe hit something.

What defense, what threat? The "Gazans" are as much a threat as the jews in the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII. Is that where they learned this behavior?

Who are the Nazis now?

Hamas has launched over 2,100 rockets and missiles in the past 15 days according to this article.

That is also one of the first times I have both heard the Israelis publicly nervous about what they have discovered and outright respectful for the Hamas fighters. A few lines describe miles of interconnecting tunnels and facilities built with concrete and up to 30 meters below grade.

Now you say if Hamas had a tank or a jet fighter, as if they need that to be a dangerous threat. If the North Vietnamese had a battleship, the Gulf of Tonkin would have been an American memorial not a nexus of conspiracy theory. The NVA and Viet Cong still managed to fly their flag over the American embassy a decade or so later as the victors of their fight. The equipment of war doesn't define the threat, as Israel may have just stumbled across.

Your article is a bit jaded. It begins…

After more than two weeks of intense fighting in Gaza, both Hamas and Israel have racked up significant military achievements, albeit at the cost of hundreds of lives.

"Intense fighting". Intense hiding on the part of the "Gazans". I refuse to call them Palestinians as they don't live in "Palestine" (whats that?), neither is "Gaza" a country with due human rights as provided in the UN charter of Nations.

So they really "don't exist" do they? Neither is what the Israelis do to them periodically called any thing but "defense". You and I both know who's defending against whom.

If any significant achievements can be attributed to what the people of the country of GAZA endure, its how fast they process bodies to be buried.

As far as the "cost", its measured in bullets for the IDF and shovels for the Gazans. But I understand the need to quell the natives as it were. I do it to the roaches in my backyard. Every few weeks I place the bait motels around to knock back the population… nothing personal.

In 2012 we had this Gaza thread going with live feed watching the "quelling", remember? Do we have that up this time?

I suppose we can refuse the concept all we'd like and they aren't recognized in every sense at this stage of history. However, the United Nations have formally recognized them and Palestine is what they call the place. Have the major events of today caused us to so quickly forget the major events so recently?

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The United Nations has voted overwhelmingly to recognize a Palestinian state, but the Palestinians still face enormous limitations: They don't control their borders, airspace or trade, they have separate and competing governments in Gaza and the West Bank, and they have no unified army or police.
Source

They even have their own Embassies in other nations at this point. I'm sure they'd love better press on that, of course...but they are real enough.

Palestinian ambassador in Prague killed by security mechanism on safe sealed for 30 years

So yeah, they really do exist and many other nations do give the courtesies of formal diplomacy to their State which isn't quite a full state yet. I'm no personal fan of the Palestinians, but I think accuracy is important for credibility in all this, and credit where it's due. The PLA, especially, have accomplished some very important goals in recent years.

In 2012 we had this Gaza thread going with live feed watching the "quelling", remember? Do we have that up this time?

Yeah, I remember the thread. It seems more like 10 years ago then just a couple years for the amount which has changed in the world and our nation since. No, I haven't watched any live coverage. I have no desire to be a spectator to the killing of people I have nothing personal against. I can see how and why others do. I don't, and really just want to see a solution found. A real one.

Hamas is unique in the powers involved here for having a mission charter to obliterate another. That has to change and it must be addressed. Israel can't even shoot flachette rounds without world headlines (I have a few boxes of in my safe, to be blunt about things, as they aren't illegal here), yet Hamas can be dedicated by CHARTER to the death and removal by force of all Israeli presence in that land and it's no biggy in the big picture, it seems.

A real solution needs to come, but I'm not sure I can see how Hamas can fit into that. The PLA is half way to the right end already, but Hamas is dedicated to their own charter statement. Those are mutually exclusive goals, IMHO.

Yeah it matters. You DO know that the Mujahedin of the 80's were the Taliban of this millennium? It seems like this is an exclusive bunch.

The crazy thing is the US funding Israel and the Muslim Brotherhood at which point the Brotherhood funds Hamas then once the killing starts the US sends Hamas money as well. Of course under the guise of humanitarian reasons. This is a circle jerk of killing machines. The blame falls over several thousand miles over many governments.

What an absolute load of anti-israeli propaganda. Use your heads people..

Your going to tell me that Israel - in day light - in public view bombed a UN Shelter killing and massacring people... yet in 2 minutes of aljazeera not one victim had any blood on them ?

Why would Israel go to so much trouble to warn civilians in the past to get out of harms way then bomb the UN?
Why would Israel stay in communication all day with the school only to bomb it - in public view?

It doesn't make sense unless you ignore logic and have a rabbies like view against everything Israel.

This is a case of pure Palestinian propaganda to feed anti Israeli blood-lust.

Gullible fools, if a bomb hit a shelter butchering people you'd have blood and guts and footage everywhere.
Not 9 separate pieces of footage of ''victims'' with not a drop of blood between them.

They knew there were civilians there. They knew this was a UN safe zone. This is a war crime. Make any excuse you want. I've already seen the "Hamas had rockets there". I've yet to see any proof of this. And of course it's the old fall back for defending Israels genocide.

Israel could destroy a nursery school with nothing but children in it.. and would somehow try and defend itself by saying "Hamas". The world is tired of this. Very... very tired. IF there were missiles in there, the IDF could have sent in troops to take them. There was ZERO need to bomb the place.. unannounced. Now I know, every Israeli supporter will respond to this, blaming Hamas.. saying there is no such place as Palestine, etc etc etc. Stop... just stop. I've seen the most disgusting things over the past few weeks and they were all committed by Israel. "But.. Hamas keeps firing rockets!". Yeah.. we know. Rockets in which 99% have no munitions in them (as confirmed by an IDF general). Rockets that have killed how many Israelis? 3? 4? Yeah.. that's 3 or 4 too many. But when over 600 Palestinians have been killed in reprisal, do we really call this just?

We in America can't voice our opposition of Israel. The main stream media just white washes EVERYTHING Israel does. There is an article on CNN about this attack.. and how surprising, all comments have been closed. So no one can speak out. Every anti-Israeli protest is labeled as a bunch of "nut case terrorist supporters who turn violent". We see politician after politician bend over for its Israeli masters. We will NEVER hear a single politician speak out against Israel. When our so called "celebrities" do it.. they are immediately slammed as "anti-Semitic" and literally destroyed in the media. So we can't voice our opposition. But people are getting real tired of this.

Israel's tactic of claiming to be the victim is starting to fail. People are starting to see the reality. Remember.. ISRAEL decided to go into Gaza. So ISRAEL is responsible for the deaths of its soldiers. Just as all you Israel supporters claim Hamas is responsible for all these children's deaths. I for one have no sympathy for the IDF. You reap what you sew.

I just want to know.. at what point is ANY country in this world going to step up and defend the Palestinians? Turkey has.. with words. Some others have with ejecting Israeli ambassadors. But someone of some power needs to speak up and tell Israel ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

This is such a sad, sick war going on over there. It's completely out of balance. It's like a pro baseball team going up against little league in terms of capability. Just look at the score and you will know that it's true: dead/injured Israelis vs dead/injured Palestinians.

Hamas keeps firing rockets? Well, Team Israel, all they ever do is strike out anyway. Then you send in your heavy hitters and you ALWAYS hit home runs. Good for you-- take those snotty-nosed Hamas brats out of the game for good. Whatever. But you unabashedly kill off scores of unsuspecting spectators-- who are innocent, stranded, and cannot get through the gates and away from the horrors that come of your crushing victories.

It's a sick, sad game when the REAL losers are the ones who don't even want to be a part of the game.

I am really sick of hearing about schools hospitals ect getting destroyed because they say they are hiding weapons there..Was any proof given to support their claims i did not read all 7 pages. Again i ask if the Israel military is so great why not send in teams ie seal like to deal with the real rebels. it is like sending a warship to take out a pontoon boat.talk about overkill and dont they get it they are just creating more hate against them with every woman and child slaughtered..but all governments need to bogymen/terrorists to justify the wars and keep that foreign aid a rolling in sick and disgusted. For the record i do not support hamas either. Is hamas cilivans or do they have a military also?

Nobody can directly link the school from the reports because the name of the school is not in any of them. If can be heavily inferred that it was the correct school as it was a UN school in the town and the UN directly addressed reports of missiles being found in a UN school in the town. Not sure how many UN schools this town has but it is not a large town so could not be many. Town is named Beit Hanun.

ok thank u so how can Israel be so sure there were weapons in there? I would like the un to show proof/facts that there were actually weapons being hidden that would at least make a lil justification to the strikes but again i don't see why they can not small teams they are not going against a military right?

Ok...so now direct quotes from the UN about missiles being in the schools in the town are not good enough? Sorry but it isn't like they have a GPS tracker that locates them when they move. Israel struck a target that had Hamas weapons and fighters at some point within the last 2 days. The fact the UN and Hamas shielded this with civilians is sad but could very well have been avoided. This was a deliberate move by them to smear Israel. Neither side is right but to sacrifice innocents is completely wrong, and that is exactly what the UN and Hamas did. Do you think these guys don't have PR teams leading the strikes they make? It is the same thing with the whole ma17 flight crap....the pro Russian Ukrainian leader actually started and owns a massive PR firm. It's all about public perception.

WAKE THE F UP PEOPLE! It's a PR war....those that can spin it their way in the eyes of the world win the war.

Either side are complete and totally screwed beyond their WILDEST dreams, and they are playing some kind of game that is entirely meaningless, but COULD end in the total annihilation of them both.

Hmm, it seems things are going exactly as planned, an excerpt from a book called Morals and Dogma, by one Albert Pike , who by the way has an interesting statue of himself in Washington D.C. as some sort of Godhead.

Someone is pushing for all of this, and this man speaks about it directly !!

He wrote, over 100 years ago !!!

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World.

The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other.

Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil.

Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view."

I am in amazement that most of you do not seem to see this is all scheduled and planned to go down like this, and it has an outcome that most of you will NEVER understand.

It's just a PR war? What a relief. I'm sure the scores of Palestinian people who are trying to bury their dead while they duck and cover will be relieved and comforted when they realize this.

So let me get this straight... the world is making Israel look bad, for making Palestinians look dead. Poor, poor Israel. Will they ever be able to just kill in peace? So misunderstood.

Like I previously stated. . .

The US is supplying Israel.

Iran, Qatar is supplying Hamas.

Hamas is fighting Israel.
Israel is fighting back.

War sucks.

Pick a side. Buy a t-shirt, wave a flag.

There will be no real change until all sides want peace.

Hamas doesn't.
Israel doesn't.
The US doesn't.
Qatar doesn't.
Iran doesn't.

Wake me when the world grows the #### up and wants peace.

Because I am getting sick and tired of the one-sided bull spit!

Hamas this.
Israel that.

Evil Israel threads.
Evil Hamas threads.

I tried to keep rational in all of this. I tried to be respectful through all of this. It taxes me sometimes.

So keep your war. Keep rooting for one side.

I'm going to pray for peace, light a candle, and look forward. Because this "gotcha" bull spit is getting old.

You and I are both too damned old to be concerned about war anyway.

Unfortunately you ARE concerned, but in the same old way that leads to destruction, and cycling endlessly of this garbage.

But most importantly, you actually believe there is a good and bad side to this, and THAT is why it perpetuates.

Who cares if it sucks or not , when it is ONGOING, because of WHAT !!??

The one side you keep speaking of, who wants war, we KNOW who you think it is, but I think neither of these two parties are IN CONTROL OF THEIR OWN DESTINY!

This is the most Ungodly scheme ever, and it just goes on outrageously, all because you somewhere deep inside, like most everyone, are unawares that someone, something, other than what is on the surface, is creating these religions, to divide, to separate, to BREW NEGATIVE ENERGY, to delight in the conflicts highs and lows, to DENY the rights of any humans to see the spoils of this "War".

But they can believe they know what is going on for eternity, because they have been successfully programmed, just like you..............
