Negligence kills as surely as premeditated murder. Heinous. Our drug laws are stupid.

But just to clear one thing up, the article states that he'd been in jail for two months because his Dad refused to post his bail. That's wrong. He'd been in jail for two months because he got himself put in jail for stealing. People who haven't burned all their bridges have no problem finding someone to post bail.

This guy was in jail for two months because no one trusted him enough to lend him any money.
