And we thought "community organizer" was laughable...little did we know!

What grant money? The cities are starving, they hate Obama…he’s done nothing for the inner city.

He has presided over neo-liberal destruction of the schools and the almost total neglect of urban issues.

So as bad as he is on foreign policy, and he sure is, in domestic issues he is no better.

He isn’t a community organizer, to me, he is a community disorganizer

Well, Willtell, grant money HAS been issued to cities all over the country, millions of it. There are several threads in recent days discussing this very topic.

I'll get you started: Federal Promise Neighborhoods

Edited to add: Let me rephrase that. Grant money HAS been issued to cities and "non-profits" all over the country, millions of it. Take note that a non-profit receives grant money, pays salaries and expenses to administrators and employees, THEN distributes what is left to its "cause".

You mean like this $500 million grant he gave LaRaza?

As part of an initiative to increase economic activity and expand opportunities in impoverished areas throughout the country, President Obama awarded a federal Promise Zone designation to the city of Los Angeles and their lead partner, the Youth Policy Institute, an NCLR (National Council of La Raza) Affiliate. The city will receive up to $500 million in grants to help revitalize central Los Angeles neighborhoods, which include many predominantly Latino areas, by investing in job creation, creating affordable housing, improving public safety and ensuring access to quality education.

$500,000,000. Let that sink in. I clicked on the link you included and was reminded that Lyndon Johnson gave his War on Poverty speech half a century ago. Let that sink in, too.

Remember, Obama causes ED, hair loss, insomnia, heart palpatations, and if exposed to him for more than four hours consult a republican immediately.

Lol. Man, six years down the road, same old lies.

Hell, there was even a birther comment in there.

Six years on and the US still turns.

Also, seeker1963, you may already know this, but I'll mention it again anyway. The man Obama appointed as Secy. of HUD (Housing and Urban Development), and confirmed by the Senate just this month is Julian Castro of San Antonio. His mother was a Chicana political activist who helped establish the Chicano political party La Raza Unida. If you do some deep research on this group, you will find they don't exactly wave the American flag at rallies.

Go stick your head back in the sand. Some of us prefer to stay vigilant and actually research facts pertaining to how our country is headed and where our tax dollars are being spent. But maybe you don't pay taxes, so couldn't care less.

This isn't sticking my head in the sand, it's not being duped by Mark Levin, rush limbaugh, Sean hannity, or glen beck.

Maybe some time outside away from right wing media?

I'm sorry, but your head is definitely in the sand. Actually I haven't tuned in to Mark or Rush in probably over a year. I watch Sean occasionally, but he gets on my nerves sometimes although I think he nails it most of the time, and as far as Glen Beck goes, I will read The Blaze occasionally, but it's not one of my regular go-to sources of research.

I notice that folks such as yourself that spout the left-wing memes, never really show any proof that the research is faulty. You just insult, call names, or mock. It's the standard liberal tactic. Most of us are pretty armored against such BS assaults.

Well the fact that Obama isn't a Marxist but a corporate oligarch, might show how biased you are.

All that money, it ain't going to the poor, it's going into bank accounts.

Then Reaganomics takes over and it trickles down.

Who benefits from food stamps? J.p. Morgan Chase the bank that issues the cards.
Who benefits from all the money giving to non profits? The united way.

You want to know the horrid truth about the president, take a look at the stock market. He's big businesses best friend.

You think health insurance companies hate obama? Lol i don't think so.

You got that one right anyway. Now, whose bank accounts are being padded by tax payer dollars and what is the quid pro quo?

This really isn't that hard. Those companies have shareholders, those non profits have boards of directors.

They don't work out of the kindness of their hearts.

It's straight up business. No nefarious master plan to destroy the nation. Just money.

Look, at it this way, they aren't going to derail the gravy train. Everyone involved is making too much money of the deal.

Call it poverty inc. Charities, institutions, etc making bank off of the poor.

Take the salvation army. You know, doing the most good?

They get money off of the department of veterans affairs, the department of corrections, aarp, and their own collections drives. All to house feed and care for homeless men women and children, and they still charge the homeless to stay at their shelters.

Poverty inc.

It's just good business, and business is good.

Oh no, didn't you get the memo? Absolutely nothing at all happened between 2000-2008 in fact, all of existence vanished for those eight years.

Now you might swear that you have memories of those years, but that's another Obama lie!

January 20, 2009, we popped back into existence, the economy then immediately crashed, we instantly had 14 trillion in debt that wasn't there at all before, and we were automatically involved in two wars.

All of which Obama caused millisecond one he was in office. On purpose to destroy the nation because... ???

Obama is a Marxist/communist/the antichrist/Kenyan.....blah blah blah, is ruining the country, blah blah blah, blather, whine, cry......is the worst president ever.....blah blah blah, cry, moan......yawn!

This rhetoric gets pretty old. I shudder to think what shape this country would be in if McCain/Palin were in. Makes my skin crawl. We all have our opinions. They're like noses, everyone has one, and they all smell.

I find many of the things you all haters say are downright appalling and disgusting. And that is my opinion.

Just going to let it go... It wasn't very nice..... Today is going to be a peaceful day.. No arguing, no knuckleheads, uninformed socialist, no whiners, no fantasy island participants, no kooks, no potheads with a keyboard, no illegals, no lawyers, no philosophical one liners, no angry typist, no left wing crackpots, no fru fru la la space queens, no ding dongs, no yo yo's, just relax, breathe deep, and read.

Sounds like good advice. I generally consider the source and try not to argue too much. If your argument is coming from facts and figures that you've researched and common sense, not to worry. Peace.

See. This is a prime example of a liberal using a meme to hush the discussion. If he doesn't like the discussion, why has he come here...what? two or three times with this same picture. Why doesn't he just not click on the thread.

This discussion should continue whether on this thread or others. This illegal immigrant flood into our country is serious. It was known about, approved, and enabled on the deepest government levels. Some are saying the plans were in the works as much as five years ago. I intend to research that bit of information because if that is true, heads should roll. There is something very wrong going on involving this issue, and the discussion and research MUST continue.

If people like jimmyx don't like it, let them keep their heads in the sand. Some of these people are okay with where I and others believe this administration and his shadowy bunch want to take us. Maybe that's why he's here, and if so, why not just admit it.
