Yesterday I made a post in a rather innocuous thread regarding 'bullying'

I was following the thread as I was interested to see how others dealt with

bullying ....

Today in *My ATS* ( my point of contact with that thread ) it was no longer

there.

I checked my profile for my posts to make contact with that thread and my

post was gone.

My conclusion is that the thread was 404'd/deleted but I find that hard to

believe because as I have already said it was fairly innocuous subject and

thread.

If it has been deleted and that is why the post has disappeared from

*my posts*

is there anyway to leave the post there in my profile with perhaps

something such as 404'd in place of the content of that post?

I don't see your thread as being removed, do you recall the exact title?

Something about a 30 something year old woman bullying a 9 year old

child,

My post was my link to the thread, and that is not in *my posts* nor

is it in my subscribed posts on *My ATS*??

Hi eletheia, as you guessed the thread was removed.

Unfortunately I can't go into details but if you're prepared to take me at my word I would say that compassion and an understanding of the issue on various levels played the highest part in considering the move. Given the nature of the thread in question and noting your advice I'm sure you can understand how sensitive such a matter can be and how delicately situations of that particular nature must be handled at times.

There are numerous reasons a thread may be removed and all things considered then I'm really not sure how practical it would be to leave a private link in a members profile to view their offering in a deleted thread. As for your post though if you want to U2U me perhaps we can discuss that further.

I hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply and I'm sure the correct thing was done.

I was very interested on how others dealt with bullying, as it effects

everyone one way or another in life .... and then 'pooof' it was GONE.

That's odd, I have had a few threads removed, and mods or admin always sent me a detailed U/U message letting me know it was removed and why they felt it was the thing to do.

It wasn't 'my' thread .... I had posted on the thread and was following

it. When I came back on to ATS it wasn't in my subscribed threads,

so I went on to my profile to connect to the thread only to discover

NO POST!!!

That's when I started to worry .... Was it a 'senior' moment or the onset

of Alzheimer's
