I've just about had it with vets.

Bunch of socialist moochers the lot of em.

Free health care, free money, free housing, free free free.

Sick of pandering to these losers, you did a job, you were paid for that job, you knew the risks going in. We don't owe them a thing.

And don't talk to me about them protecting our freedom, the last war that was true was WWII those vets deserve respect.

Rest of em are just moochers and socialists.

Heh you sound just like the Clintons!

I had a friend who was secret service for Chelsea.

He said the Clintons said stuff like this all the time about the military.

One time Chelsea's secret service agent could not take her to school for some reason and a military person was tasked to ride with her to protect her. Apparently, she refused to get into the car with "one of them", saying that she didn't want a person like that in the car with her.

I know you will take this as a compliment!

Seems to me after talking to people "in the know" (including others I know who have worked in the White House) that the Democrats have this feeling about the military personnel. Shame they will send them to Afghanistan to die but still disrespect them and think they are scum.

Did you volunteer?

Ok, then what's the problem? Go get your gi Bill, go to college, get an education.

Have i spent a year away from my family? I'm 38, been on my own since i was 17, got a job, finished high school, git married, divorced and now i have sole custody of my son. I don't get crap from the government, and because I'm a man in Florida the state refuses to go after his mom for child support.

Yeah you got it so rough.

I love this!

I can understand why you do. But, I hate it. Its a sad day in America when our veterans have been mistreated bad enough to feel the need to do this.

Hauntwok's comments were made as a tongue-in-cheek, elbow-jab style attempt to point out the hypocrisy of certain groups of people that bash those that collect government assistance or subsidies, socialism, etc.

I cannot speak for him/her, but I'm confident that they do not really feel that way.

I'm not talking about mommy and daddy I'm talking about my wife and daughter. Yes I volunteered but from lack of options. I have a college education and so do so many other service members but college doesn't guarantee you a job now a days. What do you do for a living? I never said I had it rough but sounds to me your life sucks and you're just blaming everyone else for your misfortunes. And jealous when other people actually DESERVE benefits so you want everyone to be miserable like you. It's okay you're entitled to your opinion because we soldiers have fought for your rights.

We really need a "sarcasm" icon on ATS. When people use sarcasm you can't tell because that is exactly how many people write and feel on this site. I've started putting
::end sarcasm
at the end of posts I intend as sarcasm.

At any rate, the story I told about the people I knew who worked in the white house are real experiences. One even asked to be reassigned when a Democratic regime came in because of the things they said about the soldiers, sailors, airmen behind closed doors. That was all true and not sarcasm.

Disrespectful and sickening. As an admitted liberal, I never would have done anything like this back when George W Bush was President. I would have stood and respectfully saluted him. I am a 20 year Navy retiree. I have integrity and common sense. Apparently more than these idiots in the video. Disgusting and reprehensible behavior from them. Shame on them!

Apparently, you were present when he landed on a navy ship and declared victory about 12 years too early.

Why is it so sickening. They're exercising their constitutional right that they fought for. Respect is a two way street. The man doesn't respect Vets so why do they have to respect him.

I'm guessing that your retirement just came through, that being said if you didn't realize that the previous admin was responsible for all this back lash... you have had your head in the sand"way too long" you need to wake up to the alternate reality in life.....

And a politician is worthy of respect why?

You did the fighting and bleeding for pointless silly wars wars while the president, congressmen+family sat in comfy offices in saftey being paid stupidly high wages to lie to and cheat the public, to argue amongst themselfs and run the economy into the ground while eating in 5 star restraunts and siping champaigm while you in some crap hole desert living on crapy rations, being shot at and watching freinds get killed and injured and let me get this straight you actually want to salute and show respect to these and I use the term losely "people". Would you take a bullet for them too like a good little drone?

Politicians are the most easly expendable and replaceble people, get rid of 1 and there are a dozen corrupt lieing pycopaths waiting to step up and take there place!

The name of the group has the words "gun" & "rights" in the name. That does not mean what they said has anything to do about that or "gun control". They are saying that the president is more concerned with sanctions than he is with the condition and well being of veterans. That was obvious.

Furthermore, throwing money at a program does not imply that an administrator is caring for that program. God knows how much money is wasted through bureaucratic incompetence, corruption, waste, scandal, and/or inefficiency. Regarding the VA the president could benefit that organization by addressing internal problems far more than is done by "throwing money at it".

These vets are correct. This president has done very little for the welfare of vets. Indeed...his policies have had detrimental effects on that group. Turning their back on the president is by far one of the most tame scenarios in which these veterans chose to express themselves and that is to their credit. It shows that they have a respect of law & order and faith that fortunes will improve by employing legal and peaceful means to express themselves. Whereas this president will cheerfully and happily abuse the rule of law to achieve his goals. I don't need to elaborate in this respect.

I find it amusing that you can speak of propaganda with a straight face.

Rofl if u believe everything u said then u need to take a look at the leftist propaganda that dominates the media. don't get me wrong both sides use propaganda but thevast majority of the media is controlled by the left wing. you really think all the disrespect to our military is from right wing propaganda? i think u need to take a hard look at the global media and read from as many sources as u can so u can see the blatant lies and omission of facts to support whatever the media outlet is trying to push. btw this administration made the use of propaganda legal again (even though they've been using propaganda since it was outlawed something like 70 years ago.) don't believe anything u hear on any news network and start reasearching every story u hear yourself from as many sources as possible and then u can start to see the real picture.

Overseas WE get it,we were lied to and we did our jobs. It's HORRIBLY UGLY and WE do it best.
But when the "Y" generation shows up and goes all hippy on us it is surprising they are so UNINFORMED and they buy the system's line, never MIND history or REALITY beyond our shores. We TELL THEM repeatedly but they seem to all be that BLONDE lady from "Mad TV" who would put her fingers in her ears and go LA.LA.La,so she wouldn't hear what the other character said.

They will ALL come around as we all have once THEY have to figure it out.

Reply to MarlinGrace:

You haven't seen anything unless you've seen it in NYC. There's probably five times as many vehicles, probably more, and people on foot or hanging out of the back of vans, lots of vans. They cordon off each block for many blocks so no one can move until he's at his destination. The motorcade travels around in circles and snakes thru the area so there's no direct route known to the destination. It's actually something to see. A pain in the ass, but impressive all the same.

I might agree . . . except the current Destroyer in Chief is an imposter.

A traitor.

Deliberately following through with glee on his orders from the puppet masters to destroy as much of America and our Constitution and way of life as he can get away with.

He belongs in Leavenworth vs being saluted in any way, shape or form.

That's the intent.

A convoy like that is saying exactly that... "Don't try it, 'cause you'll die, and the President won't even get his hair ruffled." Or words to that effect.

Oh, one of the things liberals hate, the idea of peace through power. We can practice that as a personal concept for the president but not for the nation. Obama pretzel logic.
