the old days (of no instructions) are actually the old days when the instructions were set in stone (so to speak)
knowledge was limited; there was only ONE way to make a plow (for example)
with knowledge comes new advancements
no longer is a plow just metal + wood
that "metal" might be a "plastic" now (and so on)
new properties, new qualities, new possibilities..

so we start UNDERMINING what was once "set in stone"

so when i'm saying "the old days (of no instructions) are actually the old days when the instructions were set in stone"
this is a reference to laws being set in stone (ding!)
this is a reference to 'inflexible dogma'
this is a reference to lord business representing the "mean" old testament God
this is a reference to his son "undermining" his law
this is a reference to LUCIFER (who supposedly set man free from the garden)
this is a reference to all those people out there who are so quickly jumping on the bandwagon because what they're seeing "looks good enough to them"

hurp.. the movie was made by the system in the first place people don't seem to *get* that part?

people DO NOT understand what it means that;

that's barely even scraping the surface, there's even more going on here but hey, a movie managed to make "God" look like a bastard all over again without the viewer even catching on.. so it's all good

..but now that you've mentioned 'lego bricks' in that way.. let's think of lego as atoms; little building blocks, nyah?
..let's think about those "master builders" one more time, who "spend half their lives trying to get a glimpse of the man upstairs" & learning how to "build" with "lego"
(..any of this making sense?)

again, this is barely scraping the surface but a lot better than any of the debunkers managed to manage

Unless they are wanting people to break free??

this is what all the "fear porn" devotees have to now bust through..
most of them can "accept" the exoteric message of the LEGO movie, as they're all quick to cite, "the movie promotes thinking different & going against the grain" but they are like starving people who are ready to buy the first bucket of bull# that comes along

I still don't understand where you are coming from.

The movie was simple:

It started of in a totalitarian-type society where everyone was told what to do (the instructions) and were told that "conformity is good" and "individualism is bad". There was only one TV show with one plot, and only one song people listened to.

Basically, the people were told by "TPTB" what to think, how to think, what to do, and what to be.

Then our hero and a band of rebels fought this idea, showing the world that individualism is good, and that anyone can do (e.g. build) anything they wanted, and become anything they set their mind to because everyone can be special.

This was summed up also in the live action sequence at the end, where the father was the "conformity" guy who thought Legos should only be built one way, while his son was the "individualist" who showed his dad that being creative with Legos (not only doing what the instructions said and instead using your imagination) can also be an effective way to use Legos.

..i reckon you're close to cracking this now

look at the post i made before this one (bringing it all back to the assault on God, please note i'm not talking about religion just here, i'm talking about God)
now look again at your summary just now;

Then our hero and a band of rebels fought this idea, showing the world that individualism is good, and that anyone can do (e.g. build) anything they wanted, and become anything they set their mind to because everyone can be special.

go over this very, very slowly & objectively now..
it's the same story as Lucifer & the fallen angels, isn't it?

you can see i didn't make any of this up. any truth here is because it's in the bible ..anything i've got wrong is my own fault

look at that final ALL CAPS MESSAGE back on the 1st page... drives 'em crazy, they just can't wrap their minds around the simplicity of all this & get beyond that appealing first layer the movie cleverly presents..

I think its SO rude how people talk to others on this site that don't agree with them, calling people retards and twats? What the f%#^ ?? Who gave u the right to talk to people like that? Get over yourself not everyone has to agree on everything, you dont have to talk to people like # because you disagree .. Grow up dude, any time someone doesnt agree with what you say in person do you fly off with name calling? Cos im betting you wouldn't have many teeth left then.. Think about it someone just expressing their opinion on a forum thats designed for them purpouses and we are retards because we are looking at it different to you!? Thats what the F is wrong with this world , dont express your opinion because you will just be ridiculed for it, it puts me off coming on here at all , and thats sad. i would never talk to someone like that i would try get them to see my point of view and why i think how i do but i wouldnt shrink to a 10 year old mentality and call them retards etc.. Not cool ay

that guy is nothing.. it's easy to bark behind a computer screen & he knows it..
they still have to somehow undermine what's presented here..
..i don't think they'll be able to manage that
watch this place turn in a graveyard now

the "story" was eventually DECODED by someone who was mostly asking questions

Then our hero and a band of rebels fought this idea, showing the world that individualism is good, and that anyone can do (e.g. build) anything they wanted, and become anything they set their mind to because everyone can be special.

My kids love it, and I find it to be very funny.
One thing I got out of it was that people shouldn't believe things are sacred relics just because they're old and have middle-eastern sounding names (bible, israel, etc)?

watch this place turn in(to) a graveyard now

hehe.. true

your comment wasn't all bad, i'll reply again soon(ish) when the crazy glue settles..
there's heaps of tinfoil stuff in the movie..

a reply to: chrismarco
the first thing that struck me about your comment was this;

Holy crap are you people serious

(as though you believe in some kind of higher power & were beseeching it)
i think anyone who believed in "God" would've understood what was going on in the movie..
..first of all, everything that comes from the system is system
or do you also think the recent NOAH movie was based on the biblical story?

you've acknowledged the kids dad was lord business in the movie (but you've decided to dismiss the issue of symbolism?), uhhh, i guess lord business didn't actually symbolize or represent anything then, did he? so you wouldn't then agree with all the other people here citing how lord business represented "control" & sought to "glue everything together" (but you then go on to cite your own personal story of relenting on your own kids mixing up their lego sets... hmmm...) or that the movie was happening in a dual layer (the lego world represented "real life" & the humans existed in some hyper-reality, actually animating the lego people)
..i can see why you're not 'getting' any of this

about the kids dad being "lord business"...
the movie even shows us the following;
lord business is "animated" in the lego world by Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell is the one who actually brought the lego (created it) and built everything..
Will Ferrell is God ~he made the lego world...
only hollywood being what it is~ we've got one of the shills playing the role of 'God'
(Will Ferrel is ALWAYS a dark avatar in this way~ a LOKI; a PRANKSTER)
he's ENCODED. they're all encoded
that's why every second shillebrity these days is just a 'clone' of some other shillebrity
(in the old analogue days we'd simply refer to this as 'typecast' but it's way more sophisticated now, not only do these shills act the parts in movies, they do it in real life now also.. eg: miley cyrus, justin bieber, kim kardashian, paris hilton, etc etc etc, and all of them just being themselves)
Morgan Freeman is always "playing God" too, or gatekeeping hosting some discovery channel show about black holes & science, have you noticed this? this movie he was used in the same way he's always used - an avatar of light (knowledge)
i'm not finished ranting yet "they" (you know, "them") are portraying "God" as some out-of-touch control-freak

let's go back to that "crazy glue" once more...
i already showed how it was portrayed as "the ark" (a "power source"; complete with light, "cross symbolism" & being hoisted off by minions) the recent HOBBIT movie made use of the ark(enstone) to convey this backwards mythos (there is something happening here, it's up to you to find out what it is)
crazy-gluing everyone into a permanent position is the same thing as spending eternity in heaven
only Will Ferrell was just a man & had no idea what heaven is
just like you're only human & decided to let your kids mix-up their lego sets
this is why they're using a human "prankster" in the place of "God"
to confuse everything.. and LEGO movie seems to have a lot of folks "believing"

Some of you really need to take a break from TV and the internet...

now why would we do that when everything is so awesome?

a reply to: anyone
so you want to be creative & go beyond the kits? (those boring old instructions)
...who will you follow?
these so-called "master builders" with their fancy propaganda movies (who are just mere creations themselves) or the one who actually created all the lego & built everything out of it in the first place?
and it's these various "master builders" who've done a pretty good job of messing up the world in the first place (many of them were referenced in the movie)

the meme of mixing-up the sets is an advertisement for trans-humanism
disbelieve in 'God' all you like, just know; everything put out by the system is system

link's "lego".

The pieces are mostly the same but vary mainly in size. To make any thing cool takes effort - wait for it - just like real life. I don't see the conspiracy, neither did my 11 year old.

But I do see people reading waaay too much into a movie for kids.

I love this movie. I definitely noticed a lot of what you pointed out when I saw it in theaters. However, I am still confused on WHY movies have this stuff in it when they still come out with a good message? It is kind of like the Hunger Games where people are finding a bad message, but I find that it is telling them to break free. Just like the Lego Movie. That is something I have not understood. With Hollywood and their symbols and crap...
what are they trying to accomplish? Unless they are wanting people to break free??
Confused....but I do like this movie.

hunger / games
what do people "hunger" for & what kind of "games" are they prepared to play?
the 'candidates' (as they were depicted in the hunger games movie) are people who "qualified" (or were selected) for entry into the entertainment complex of the system
(think about the candidates being groomed & trained by the system, to be "hero's of the people")
the hunger games (on one level) is about the creation of shillebrities
just think of someone like "Russell Brand" (and how he was briefly 'coupled' with shill counterpart Kitty Purry)
these people are "taught how to fight" and then they (supposedly) "teach" us..
on another level "anyone" is competing in the "hunger games" when they attempt to play the systems game (like the lego movie was used to show how the systems "instructions" end up getting you nowhere)

there are dozens of real life "hunger games" too (not only shows like "survivor", but things like the X-factor, the voice, britain's got talent, etc) all of it just teaches you to play games to satisfy your own hunger..
all those competitors; "trying to change things" but the system just eats them all up & spits them out
i think of linda hamiltons character in Terminator 2, bashing on the wire fence trying to get people attention
exactly like all those deluded souls auditioning for the system on something like X-factor or the voice (trying to get peoples attention)
..all get burned in the end (just ask Bob Geldoff or katy perry about 'selling their souls')

there's more..

it's dark days when the system propaganda is actually telling you everything is crap

again, what games is one prepared to play to satisfy their hunger?
basically all these movies are trying to tell the viewer "everything is fake & crap"
not unlike something i heard on a disney cartoon a few days ago (Gravity falls) where little gideon summoned a "demon" who then informed us "reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram!" (the cartoon was full of occult symbols & themes)
the system does this to first create a mob [democracy: demos(mob) + cratic(function/rule) = mob rule]
ALL mobs are used to start riots,
ALL riots are used to overthrow established order,
all traitors who assist the takeover in this way are then executed - STUDY YOUR HISTORY
(this is what that *new* world order is all about)

"to break free"

exactly.. (the EXOTERIC message)
..but to break free from what?

breaking free from constraints & limitations placed on us by outdated systems? (which have lead us all here anyway)
or breaking free from materialism, consumerism & the things that drive it all? (our own EGO'S)
..and i see a lot of big ego's in the lego movie

all the people out there who believe in the exoteric message of the lego movie will also believe stuff like there's a group of people out there fighting the system (like those hunger game candidates, "champions of the people") aka: "master builders"
they'll also claim films like the LEGO movie (and hunger games) are actually made by such 'master builders' expressly for the purpose of "trying to tell us things for our own good" (aka: steering us in a certain direction aka: social engineering) but it's nonsense~ perhaps if these 'master builders' concentrated on actually "doing something" instead of making movies this might be believable?

most of these 'master builders' are all shill outfits;
~the 'thrive' movement
~the 'wake-up' project
~the venus project
~"the trews" (featuring Russell Brand & David Icke)

or they end up saying things they're not supposed to & then end up dead (Aaron Russo)

everything put out by the system "is system"
they are wrapping this is all up so tight now, there seems to be no hope for the coming generation- if you watch these "hunger game" audition shows (like britain's got talent) you can see the candidates already dressing up with pyramids, covering one of their eyes, or singing about "swiping a credit-card" ..or those fresh-faced youngsters who looked to be about 15-16 y.o singing about "waking up in the front yard because they got wasted the night before"

...what games will you be willing to play to satisfy your hunger?

i could say the same thing about peoples brains (being mostly the same but varying in size)
there is a difference in seeing & understanding
but i'm glad you both enjoyed the movie ..i "enjoyed" it too

To make any thing cool takes effort

(i've done most of the heavy lifting) all you have to do is put on some coffee, sit back & read..
..that'd be cool

But I do see people reading waaay too much into a movie for kids.

It wasn't a movie for kids.

Parental Guidance means the parent watches it first and decides whether their children should watch it or not.

Some interpret PG as 'watch with kids'. To do what? Explain the symbolism?

The target audience for 'The Lego Movie' must have been for cynical, adult conspiracy theorists, because we loved it!
