This Fresh Mirage

Every surface shimmers,
Under old Sol's gaze,
Here and there,
Reflected glimmers,
Wisps amongst the haze,

The Daystar unrelenting,
In these summer days,
Burns and turns,
Without repenting,
All beneath will be razed,

This fresh mirage,
Lifts its arms in praise,
Birthed in fire,
And looming large,
From the womb of old Sol's gaze.

I got entranced by the heat haze on the bodywork of some cars in the street, during my cigarette break. It's funny how mundane manifestations of physics, can play on the mind that way!
